Love</h1><p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">ENDLESS LOVE’s <em>Blueprint for an ARI </em>is the result of a four month long research project in which we interviewed a number of people who had previously run artist run initiatives within Aotearoa. This includes Dawn Marble (Personal Best, Tāmaki Makaurau), Megan Dunn (Fiat Lux, Tāmaki Makaurau), Emma Bugden (Black Cube, The honeymoon suite, Te Waipounamu), Sophie Davis (North Projects, Ōtautahi), Ted Whitaker (Bruce, Ōtepoti), Chloe Geoghegan (Dog Park art project space, Ōtautahi), Juliet Carpenter (Gloria Knight, Tāmaki Makaurau), Nick Spratt (Rm gallery, Tāmaki Makaurau), Robert Fraser (Ferari, Tāmaki Makuarau) and Melanie Oliver (Enjoy Public art project, Te Whanganui-a-tara and The Blue Oyster Art Project, Ōtepoti). This text offered us the chance to reflect upon our own experiences of running spaces, Callum ran MEANWHILE ari (Te Whanganui-a-tara) and Hana ran Fresh and Fruity (Ōtepoti). We were interested in the history and first hand narratives of these spaces (who, what, why, how) and ultimately what they felt they contributed to the arts ecology in Aotearoa and whether they would run a space again and how it might function.
