Bell: Mr Young; Bailie Docherty: Cllr. Curran; PC Ross; PC Morris Apologies: Mrs Douglas; Mrs Henderson; Mr Currie Police Report: PC Ross and PC Morris gave report of 58 crimes in the area of a varied nature. They took questions from the body of the meeting. It was noted that a white van had been seen in the area picking up items without the tenants permission. PCs took note of this. Chair thanked PCs for their attendance. Secretaries Report/Correspondence: 28/1 – J Dornan Poster 30/1 – Clyde Plan 2/2 – Ian Davidson Poster 3/2 – Claire Clifford 5/2 – Lord Provost, Garden Party 19/2 – Bank Statement 18/2 – The Key Magazine Secretary reported that the Rainbow Centre had been given a grant of £3,701 to bring Kitchen up to date. Demolition of 30/40 Kennishead Avenue has started. Councillors Reports: Baillie Docherty: Councillor Curran: They both answered questions put to them regarding – Yellow lines on Boydstone Road and King George V Park. White traffic lines have been reinstated on Boydstone Road. Cllr advised by Allan Drysdale, liason Officer for Glasgow Life, that Facilities Management are currently ascertaining the costs for the removal of the container in the park. Our Community Council normally meets 9 times a year, and its chief role is representative; to consult the local community and to make known to the local authority and other public bodies the views of local people on all matters affecting them. We discuss local issues news and issues: for example, traffic problems, street cleaning, housing, planning applications and crime. We then work to resolve these by escalating these to politicians, the local council or local police. Our meetings are open to the public and regularly attended by local councillors, and from time to time by Police and other Community bodies. You are very welcome to attend.
