Patient Leaflet</a> - print version (215k)</p><p>The following is a summary of treatment available at the two units (as given in the above leaflet):<a name="fdri"></a></p><h2>Falkirk Unit</h2><p><a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20070224034414/http://www.nhsforthvalley.com/home/Services/Hospitals/FDRI.html">Falkirk Royal Infirmary</a></p><p><strong><em>The 24 hour minor injury service at Falkirk & District Royal Infirmary (FDRI) can see any patient over 1 year old in Forth Valley (Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling) with a minor injury.</em></strong></p><p>The unit is staffed by doctors and nurses including a team of emergency nurse practitioners.</p><p>Ambulances continue to bring patients with less complicated injuries to FDRI.</p><p>The Falkirk unit can treat Forth Valley patients <em>over one year old</em> with any of the following:</p><ul> <li>Simple Fractures (Broken Bones) <li>Minor eye infections, foreign bodies or scratches <li>Cuts & Grazes <li>Sprains & Strains <li>Nose injuries <li>Minor burns and scalds <li>Bites -
