The exchange of in and out states required for a genuine test involving an anti-unitary transformation implied by time-reversal is implemented exploiting the entanglement of $K^0\bar{K}{}^0$ pairs produced at a $蠁$-factory. A data sample collected by the KLOE experiment at DA$桅$NE corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 1.7 fb$^{-1}$ is analysed to study the $螖$t distributions of the $蠁\to K_{S}K_{L}\to 蟺^+蟺^- \: 蟺^{\pm}e^{\mp}谓$ and $蠁\to K_{S}K_{L}\to 蟺^{\pm}e^{\mp}谓\: 3蟺^0$ processes, with $螖$t the difference of the kaon decay times. A comparison of the measured $螖$t distributions in the asymptotic region $螖t \gg 蟿_{S}$ allows to test for the first time T and CPT symmetries in kaon transitions with a precision of few percent, and to observe CP violation with this novel method. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('2211.12377v3-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('2211.12377v3-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 19 December, 2022; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">v1</span> submitted 22 November, 2022; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> November 2022. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">26 pages, 10 figures. Signal decays are selected by a boosted decision tree built with kinematic variables and time-of-flight measurements. Data control samples of $K_L \to 蟺e 谓$ decays are used to evaluate signal selection efficiencies. A fit to the reconstructed electron mass distribution finds 49647$\pm$316 signal events. Normalising to the $K_S \to 蟺^+蟺^-$ decay events the result for the branching fraction is $\mathcal{B}(K_S \to 蟺e 谓) = (7.211 \pm 0.046_{\rm stat} \pm 0.052_{\rm syst}) \times10^{-4}$. The combination with our previous measurement gives $\mathcal{B}(K_S \to 蟺e 谓) = (7.153 \pm 0.037_{\rm stat} \pm 0.043_{\rm syst}) \times10^{-4}$. This constitutes a very powerful tool for testing at the utmost precision the quantum coherence of the entangled kaon pair state, and to search for tiny decoherence and CPT violation effects, which may be justified in a quantum gravity framework. The analysed data sample was collected with the KLOE detector at DA$桅$NE, the Frascati $蠁$-factory, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of about 1.7 fb$^{-1}$, i.e. to about $1.7 \times 10^9$ $蠁\rightarrow K_S K_L$ decays produced. From the fit of the observed $螖t$ distribution, being $螖t$ the difference of the kaon decay times, the decoherence and CPT violation parameters of various phenomenological models are measured with a largely improved accuracy with respect to previous analyses. The results are consistent with no deviation from quantum mechanics and CPT symmetry, while for some parameters the precision reaches the interesting level at which -- in the most optimistic scenarios -- quantum gravity effects might show up. They provide the most stringent limits up to date on the considered models. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('2111.04328v2-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('2111.04328v2-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 6 April, 2022; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">v1</span> submitted 8 November, 2021; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> November 2021. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">17 pages 6 figures</span> </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2006.14710">arXiv:2006.14710</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/2006.14710">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/ps/2006.14710">ps</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/2006.14710">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Experiment">hep-ex</span> </div> <div class="is-inline-block" style="margin-left: 0.5rem"> <div class="tags has-addons"> <span class="tag is-dark is-size-7">doi</span> <span class="tag is-light is-size-7"><a class="" href="https://doi.org/10.1007/JHEP10(2020)047">10.1007/JHEP10(2020)047 <i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a></span> </div> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> Upper limit on the $畏\to蟺^{+}蟺^{-}$ branching fraction with the KLOE experiment </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/hep-ex?searchtype=author&query=Babusci%2C+D">D. The system employs quantum correlation of photon pairs created via spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC). The signal, if present, will perturb the flux of the incident photon stream. The perturbed photon stream is first projected through a birefringent crystal where SPDC occurs, converting a single high-energy photon into a pair of low energy photons. The photons in each pair eventually arrive at separate detectors. By examining the biphoton correlation using the probability distribution of the photons at the detectors, which varies depending on the displacement of the main pump photon stream and the change in the number of photons, the small optical displacement of the photon stream and its variance can be determined. The change in incident photon number, in other words, the presence of light signal does not influence the average of the measured optical displacement values. Nevertheless, the change in optical displacement measurement variance when the number of incident photons has changed detects the light signal. This optical setup enables the detection of light signals with low noise and remarkably high precision and sensitivity using quantum correlation. The proposed technique has potential application for axion-like particle search in experimental high energy physics. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('1907.10757v2-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('1907.10757v2-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 25 August, 2020; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">v1</span> submitted 24 July, 2019; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> July 2019. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">14 pages, 4 figures</span> </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Journal ref:</span> Nuclear Physics B 961 (2020) 115215 </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1807.02691">arXiv:1807.02691</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/1807.02691">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/1807.02691">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Experiment">hep-ex</span> </div> <div class="is-inline-block" style="margin-left: 0.5rem"> <div class="tags has-addons"> <span class="tag is-dark is-size-7">doi</span> <span class="tag is-light is-size-7"><a class="" href="https://doi.org/10.1016/j.physletb.2018.08.012">10.1016/j.physletb.2018.08.012 <i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a></span> </div> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> Combined limit on the production of a light gauge boson decaying into $渭^+渭^-$ and $蟺^+蟺^-$ </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/hep-ex?searchtype=author&query=Collaboration%2C+K">KLOE-2 Collaboration</a>, <a href="/search/hep-ex?searchtype=author&query=%3A"> :</a>, <a href="/search/hep-ex?searchtype=author&query=Anastasi%2C+A">A. We used 1.93~fb$^{-1}$ of data collected by the KLOE experiment at the DA$桅$NE $蠁$-factory. No structures have been observed over the irreducible $渭^+ 渭^-$ background. A 90\% CL limit on the ratio $\varepsilon^2=伪^{\prime}/伪$ between the dark coupling constant and the fine structure constant of $ 3\times 10^{-6}-2\times 10^{-7}$ has been set in the dark photon mass region between 519 MeV and 973 MeV. This new limit has been combined with the published result obtained investigating the hypothesis of the dark photon decaying into hadrons in $e^+ e^- \to 蟺^+ 蟺^- 纬_{\rm ISR}$ events. The combined 90\% CL limit increases the sensitivity especially in the $蟻-蠅$ interference region and excludes $\varepsilon^2$ greater than $(13-2)\times 10^{-7}$. For dark photon masses greater than 600 MeV the combined limit is lower than 8~$\times\, 10^{-7}$ resulting more stringent than present constraints from other experiments. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('1807.02691v2-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('1807.02691v2-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 9 August, 2018; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">v1</span> submitted 7 July, 2018; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> July 2018. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">7 pages, 9 figures, 1 table, accepted for publication in Physics Letters B</span> </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Journal ref:</span> Physics Letters B 784 (2018), 336 </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1806.08654">arXiv:1806.08654</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/1806.08654">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/1806.08654">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Experiment">hep-ex</span> </div> <div class="is-inline-block" style="margin-left: 0.5rem"> <div class="tags has-addons"> <span class="tag is-dark is-size-7">doi</span> <span class="tag is-light is-size-7"><a class="" href="https://doi.org/10.1007/JHEP09(2018)021">10.1007/JHEP09(2018)021 <i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a></span> </div> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> Measurement of the charge asymmetry for the $K_S \rightarrow 蟺e 谓$ decay and test of CPT symmetry with the KLOE detector </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/hep-ex?searchtype=author&query=Anastasi%2C+A">A. The $蟺^+ 蟺^-$ production by initial-state radiation compensates for a loss of sensitivity of previous KLOE ${\rm U} \rightarrow \mathrm{e^+ e^-}$, $渭^+渭^-$ searches due to the small branching ratios in the $蟻-蠅$ resonance region. We found no evidence for a signal and set a limit at 90\% CL on the mixing strength between the photon and the dark photon, $\varepsilon^2$, in the U mass range between $527$ and $987$~MeV. Above 700 MeV this new limit is more stringent than previous ones. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('1603.06086v1-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('1603.06086v1-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 19 March, 2016; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> March 2016. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">6 pages, 9 figures, 1 table, submitted to Phys. We did not find evidence for a signal, and set a 90\%~CL upper limit on the mixing strength between the Standard Model photon and the dark photon, $\varepsilon^2$, at $10^{-6}$--$10^{-4}$ in the 5--520~MeV/c$^2$ mass range. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('1509.00740v2-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('1509.00740v2-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 19 October, 2015; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">v1</span> submitted 2 September, 2015; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> September 2015. </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1412.5451">arXiv:1412.5451</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/1412.5451">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/1412.5451">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Nuclear Experiment">nucl-ex</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Experiment">hep-ex</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Phenomenology">hep-ph</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Nuclear Theory">nucl-th</span> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> MesonNet 2014 International Workshop.
