but did not go in. <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Then cometh Simon Peter, who followed him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen cloths lying <i>there;</i> <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>and the napkin that was upon his head, not laid with the linen cloths, but folded up by itself. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Then went in also the other disciple; and <i>there</i> seeth two angels in white sitting, <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>And they said to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? As <Fr><i>my</i><FR> Father sent me, even so send I you.<Fr> <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>And when He said this, He breathed upon <i>them,</i> and saith unto them, <FR>Receive <Fr><i>ye</i><FR> the holy Spirit:<Fr> <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><i>and</i><FR> whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; <Fr><i>but</i><FR> whose soever <Fr><i>sins</i><FR> ye retain, they are retained.<Fr><p> <A name="25"></a><p class="hdg">Jesus Appears to Thomas<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>But Thomas called Didymus, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>The other disciples therefore told him, We have seen the Lord.
