<span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/1-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with<span class="fn"><a href="#fnb" title="Or ‘in’">b</a></span> <i>the</i> Holy Spirit not many days after these.”</span> </p><p class="hdg">The Ascension<br /><span class="cross">(Mark 16:19-20; Luke 24:50-53)</span></p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/1-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>So indeed those having come together were asking Him, saying, “Lord, at this time are you restoring the kingdom to Israel?” </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/1-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>And He said to them, <span class="red">“It is not yours to know times or seasons that the Father put in place by His own authority. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/1-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>But you will receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and you will be witnesses for Me, both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to <i>the</i> uttermost part of the earth.”</span> </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/1-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>And having said these things, they beholding, He was lifted up, and a cloud hid Him from their eyes. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/1-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>And as they were looking intently into heaven as He was going, then behold, two men in white apparel stood by them, <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/1-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>who also said, “Men, Galileans, why do you stand looking into heaven?
