(<span data-scayt_word="FUNAAB" data-scaytid="4">FUNAAB</span>), <span data-scayt_word="Odutayo" data-scaytid="7">Odutayo</span> <span data-scayt_word="Olusola" data-scaytid="9">Olusola</span> Victor has set a record of 4.9 cumulative grade point average out of available 5.0 to emerge as the best graduating student of the institution at the <span data-scayt_word="21st" data-scaytid="11">21st</span> and <span data-scayt_word="22nd" data-scaytid="12">22nd</span> convocation ceremonies in <span data-scayt_word="Abeokuta" data-scaytid="5">Abeokuta</span>, <span data-scayt_word="Ogun" data-scaytid="14">Ogun</span> State capital.</strong></p> <p> <script type="text/javascript"> </script><script type="text/javascript" was announced on Saturday at the occasion did not only emerge as the overall best student of his set but equally out-shined the former best record of 4.8 point.</p> <p>  </p> <p> In his remarks at the well attended ceremony, <span data-scayt_word="Odutayo" data-scaytid="15">Odutayo</span> recounted how challenging it had been for his parents financially to send him to school in spite of all odds. He told the guests that, his father was a former employee of the defunct National Bank of Nigeria before the financial crises that swept away the financial institution, adding that as a result of the ugly development, the family was plunged into hardship and he had to attend five different primary schools before he could complete his elementary education.</p> <p>  </p> <p> He said: "My life is a personal testimony because I never dreamt of coming into a university, let alone graduating as the best student. I came from a humble background where things were really hard."</p> <p>  </p> <p> <span data-scayt_word="Odutayo" data-scaytid="17">Odutayo</span> added, "Growing up was terrible after my father lost his job at the defunct National Bank. Since then he has not had a steady source of income and this affected our education. I had to attend five different primary schools as a result of his financial constraint to complete my elementary education."</p> <p>  </p> <p> He recalled that in spite of the daunting challenges he had always believed in <span data-scayt_word="hardwork" data-scaytid="19">hardwork</span> saying self determination has been driving him to succeed in life even in times of turbulence, stressing that he had to engage in menial jobs to complement whatever little assistance he was getting from his parents to see himself through school.</p> <p>  </p> <p> The graduate of animal production and health seized the opportunity of the occasion to profusely give thanks to God and advised his juniors across the nation to always strive for excellence in the face of opposition saying with hard work and determination, every dream is realizable.</p> <p>  </p> <p> "Time cannot allow me to share specific challenges with this gathering, but then I have to advise my juniors across the nation who may be facing similar challenges to buckle up. No matter how great the challenges, with determination and dedication, they will overcome their travails," he emphasized.</p> <p>  </p> <p> He also took time to challenge the Nigerian government to revolutionize agriculture in the country so as to bring back the golden age of farming that sustained the nation before oil.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Hear him: "The excruciating poverty in the country can be eradicated if agriculture is accorded due respect both by the government and private sector.
