<t><p class="indent1">I will not give<MH5414> My glory<MH3519b> to another<MH312>, <t><p class="indent1">Nor<MH3808> My praise<MH8416> to idols<MH6456>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/42-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>“Behold<MH2009>, the former<MH7223> things<MH7223> have come<MH935> to pass<MH935>, <t><p class="indent1">Now I declare<MH5046> new<MH2319> things<MH2319>; <t><p class="indent1">Before<MH2962> they sprout<MH6779> I proclaim<MH8085> <i>them</i> to you.” <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/42-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Sing<MH7891> to the LORD<MH3068> a new<MH2319> song<MH7892a>, <t><p class="indent1"><i>Sing</i> His praise<MH8416> from the end<MH7097a> of the earth<MH776>! <t><p class="indent1">You who go<MH3381> down<MH3381> to the sea<MH3220>, and all<MH4393> that is in<MH4393> it; <t><p class="indent1">You islands<MH339>, and those who live<MH3427> on them. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/42-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>Let the wilderness<MH4057b> and its cities<MH5892b> raise<MH5375> <i>their voices,</i> <t><p class="indent1">The settlements<MH2691b> which Kedar<MH6938> inhabits<MH3427>. <t><p class="indent1">Let the inhabitants<MH3427> of Sela<MH5554> sing<MH7442> aloud<MH7442>, <t><p class="indent1">Let them shout<MH6681> for<MH6681> joy<MH6681> from the tops<MH7218> of the mountains<MH2022>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/42-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Let them give<MH7760> glory<MH3519b> to the LORD<MH3068> <t><p class="indent1">And declare<MH5046> His praise<MH8416> in the coastlands<MH339>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/42-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>The LORD<MH3068> will go<MH3318> out<MH3318> like a warrior<MH1368>, <t><p class="indent1">He will stir<MH5782> <i>His</i> zeal<MH7068> like a man<MH376> of war<MH4421>. <t><p class="indent1">He will shout<MH7321>, indeed<MH637>, He will raise<MH6873> a<MH6873> war<MH6873> cry<MH6873>. <t><p class="indent1">He will prevail<MH1396> against<MH5921> His enemies<MH340>. <p class="hdg">The Blindness of the People</p><poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/42-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>“I have kept<MH2814> silent<MH2814> for a long<MH5769> time<MH5769>, <t><p class="indent1">I have kept<MH2814> still<MH2790b> and restrained<MH662> Myself. <t><p class="indent1"><i>Now</i> like a woman in<MH3205> labor<MH3205> I will groan<MH6463>, <t><p class="indent1">I will both<MH3162> gasp<MH5395> and pant<MH7602a>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/42-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>“I will lay<MH2717b> waste<MH2717b> the mountains<MH2022> and hills<MH1389> <t><p class="indent1">And wither<MH3001> all<MH3605> their vegetation<MH6212a>;
