As a young boy, he had a small role on a mid-1980s Canadian sitcom, The Edison Twins, which later aired on the Disney Channel in America. In his first film role, 1984's Firstborn, he played cocaine-dealer Teri Garr's pre-teen son. He came to stardom playing a shrimpy high school kid who gets injured playing football in Lucas with Charlie Sheen, and as the new kid in VampireVille in The Lost Boys with Jason Patric and Kiefer Sutherland.
Haim starred in numerous forgettable teen comedies in the late 1980s through mid-1990s, and appeared in seven movies with Corey Feldman -- four of which were never released in theaters. In the quickly cancelled 1987 sitcom Roomies, Haim and Burt Young played unlikely college roommates. In 1989, when rumors of drug addiction first became a distraction to his career, Haim starred in a short video called Corey Haim: Me, Myself, and I, in which he denied any drug problems and stressed his wholesome family connections.
By 1991, though, his drug problems were well known, co-workers complained about his spaced out behavior, his performances lost whatever sparkle they once had, and his films lost most of their audience. In 1996 he was sued by Lloyd's of London after being fired from a film for drug addictions he had failed to disclose to the insurance company, and in 1997 he filed for bankruptcy, listing as assets only his 10-year-old BMW, $100 in cash, and royalties and residuals valued at $7,500.
In 2001, Haim suffered a stroke brought on by drug abuse and briefly slipped into a coma, but he was discharged from the hospital with no permanent disabilities. Lacking health insurance, he attempted to auction one of his molars on eBay to pay the hospital bills, but the website closed the bidding, citing their rule against selling human body parts. In response to a 2004 "Where is he now?" inquiry, he answered tersely, "I'm clean, sober, humble and happy". In 2007, Haim and Feldman starred as themselves in a "partially scripted reality series" titled The Two Coreys. His died on 10 March 2010 at the age of thirty-eight, but contrary to whispers and early reports, the coroner's report concluded that drugs were not a factor in his death.

[1] Pulmonary edema.
Father: Bernie Haim (salesman)
Mother: Judy Haim (computer operator, div. 1982)
Sister: Carol "Cari" Haim (stage actress)
Brother: Daniel Lee (half-brother from father's second marriage)
Girlfriend: Alyssa Milano (dated 1987)
Girlfriend: Nicole Eggert (actress, dated 1992-93, broken engagement)
Girlfriend: Victoria Beckham (dated 1995)
Girlfriend: Holly Fields (actress, broken engagement 1996)
Girlfriend: Cindy Guyer (model, broken engagement 1999)
Girlfriend: Daisy de la Hoya (reality tv host, purportedly dated briefly in 2010)

Betty Ford Center left after one week
unknown detox facility 2001
unknown detox facility 1989
Stroke 2001
Bankruptcy $200,000 in debts, Los Angeles (Jul-1997)
French-Canadian Ancestry
Risk Factors: Alcoholism, Marijuana, Cocaine, Oxycontin

FILMOGRAPHY AS ACTOR
Crank 2: High Voltage (16-Apr-2009) · Randy
Lost Boys: The Tribe (29-Jul-2008) · Sam Emerson
Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (3-Sep-2003) · Himself
The Backlot Murders (9-Apr-2002)
Without Malice (2000)
Merlin (19-Oct-1998)
Snowboard Academy (16-Jul-1997) · Chris Barry
Demolition University (1997)
Fever Lake (1996)
Demolition High (1996)
Busted (1996)
Dream a Little Dream 2 (21-Feb-1995) · Dinger Holfield
National Lampoon's Last Resort (29-Apr-1994)
Fast Getaway II (1994) · Nelson Potter
Anything for Love (13-Sep-1993)
Oh, What a Night (Oct-1992)
Blown Away (1992) · Rich
The Double 0 Kid (1992)
Prayer of the Rollerboys (12-Jul-1991)
Fast Getaway (1991)
The Dream Machine (1990)
Dream a Little Dream (3-Mar-1989) · Dinger
Watchers (Dec-1988)
License to Drive (6-Jul-1988) · Les
The Lost Boys (31-Jul-1987) · Sam
Lucas (28-Mar-1986)
Murphy's Romance (25-Dec-1985) · Jake Moriarty
Silver Bullet (11-Oct-1985) · Marty Coslaw
Secret Admirer (14-Jun-1985) · Jeff
Firstborn (26-Oct-1984)

<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;
