For practicing these things, never at any time shall you stumble. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>For in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Therefore I will be ready always to remind you concerning these things, though knowing <i>them</i> and having been strengthened in the truth being present <i>in you</i>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Now I esteem it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting <i>you</i> in remembrance, <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is impending, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And I will be diligent also for you to have at every time after my departure these things, to make a lasting remembrance. </p><p class="hdg">Eyewitnesses of His Majesty<br /><span class="cross">(Matthew 17:1-13; Mark 9:1-13; Luke 9:28-36)</span></p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>For we have not made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ having followed out cleverly devised fables, but having been eyewitnesses of His majesty. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>For having received honor and glory from God <i>the</i> Father, a voice such as follows was brought to Him by the Majestic Glory: “This is My Son, My beloved, in whom I have found delight.”<span class="fn"><a href="#fna" title="Matthew 17:5; Mark 9:7; Luke 9:35">a</a></span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>And we heard this voice having been brought from heaven, being with Him in the holy mountain. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And we have the more certain prophetic word, to which you do well taking heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until this day shall have dawned and <i>the</i> morning star shall have arisen in your hearts, <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>knowing this first, that any prophecy of Scripture is not of its own interpretation. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_peter/1-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>For no prophecy at any time was brought by <i>the</i> will of man, but men spoke from God, being carried by <i>the</i> Holy Spirit.<A name="fn"><br /><br /></p><A name="fna"></a><span class="footnotesbot">a</span> <span class="fnverse">17</span> <span class="footnote">Matthew 17:5; Mark 9:7; Luke 9:35</span><br /><br /></div></div><div id="botbox"><div class="padbot"><div align="center">The Berean Bible<br /><a href="//berean.bible">www.Berean.Bible</a><br /><br /><a href="//literalbible.com">Berean Literal Bible (BLB)</a><br />© 2016 by <a href="//biblehub.com">Bible Hub</a> and <a href="//berean.bible">Berean.Bible</a><br />Used by Permission.
