href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150123094146/http://www.featherdale.com.au/">Featherdale Wildlife Park </a> – <em>50KM from UNSW</em><br/>Away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney Featherdale Wildlife park is an opportunity to see Australian wild life in a bush setting where you can hand feed kangaroos and meet the resident koalas. </p><h2>Sports </h2><p>Australia is renowned for its sporting prowess and watching live sport could also be considered a national pastime. Sporting events can be watched live on television in pubs across Sydney or at sports grounds such as the <a class="external" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150123094146/http://www.sydneyfootballstadium.com.au/Default.aspx">Sydney Football Stadium</a>  and <a class="external" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150123094146/http://www.anzstadium.com.au/Home.aspx">ANZ Stadium</a>. During spring and autumn you can also attend horse racing events at <a class="external" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150123094146/http://www.ajc.org.au/">Royal Randwick Race Club</a> which is located next to UNSW.</p><p>Playing sport  Playing sport is a great way to meet new people when you have moved to a new city. The UNSW Sport and Recreation Centre has a variety of social sports and sports clubs for students to get involved in. You might also want to consider competing in the Australian University Games, which is an excellent opportunity to meet students from around the country. </p><p>With UNSW located near Coogee Beach, there are plenty of opportunities for snorkelling, scuba diving or surfing, as well as horse riding, bush walking, and golf. A good place to start looking to see what sports you can become involved with is Randwick Council’s sports initiative <a class="external" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150123094146/http://randwickcitytourism.com.au/activities.html">The Sports Coast</a>.</p><h2>Markets </h2><p>The markets are a great place to find local and unique arts and handicrafts, jewellery, clothing, accessories, souvenirs, gourmet and fresh food and produce.
