Pine green tones were ubiquitous, along with leaf and branch motifs that call to mind luxe lodge and cozy cabin aesthetics.</p> <p>For the upcoming Interwoven, some introductions extend the outdoor lifestyle story with designs reminiscent of the English countryside, while others dial in with a commitment to color.</p> <p>According to textile industry representatives, the “it” hues of November’s Interwoven will incorporate a palette of warm neutrals and rich colors. The indoor/outdoor upholstery product, which is from Covington’s SPF brand, is bleach cleanable and is PFAS free.</p> <p>“We have seen an increase of demand for more eco-friendly and easy-clean product from our customers, and this newest product helps address those requests,” said Stefanie Wotton, vice president marketing and contract services. “With the request for more easy-clean product inside the home, our indoor/outdoor product addresses these concerns. Some additional trends we are focusing on are more casual looks. We have some great abstract contemporary jacquards and several globally inspired designs that can work well throughout the home.”</p> <p>“We believe offering a range of product really addresses our customers’ needs,” said Chari Voehl, senior vice president. “We are the source for multiple segments and offer good, better and best product.”</p> <h4><strong>Crypton Fabrics</strong></h4> <p>At Crypton, introductions blend contemporary and traditional patterns, and officials said the collection aligns with current demands by incorporating new textures in boucle, velvet looks, sustainable materials and natural fibers — all in high-performance fabrics.</p><div class="article_dfp_ads"> <div id="div-gpt-ad-article_inline_ad_300x250b" class="div-gpt-ad-article_inline_ad_300x250b article_inline_ad_300x250b dfp_ad_pos"> <script type='text/javascript'> googletag.cmd.push(function () { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-article_inline_ad_300x250b'); googletag.pubads().collapseEmptyDivs(true); }); </script> </div> </div> <p>“Our palette this season is rich with color from jewel tones to the midtone mineral shades,” said Grainne Coogan, vice president of design. “The warm earthy browns are currently trending, and these coordinate beautifully with muted mineral tones, warm golds and floral tones. They offer comfort, durability and a deep range of colors.</p> <p>“We are offering a blend of on trend and timeless styles in unique patterns and textures,” she said. “Texture through plain or pattern can really elevate the look of a piece of furniture. Boucle remains a prominent choice, while the significance of multicolored yarns keeps growing. Tranquility mixes menswear tweeds and heathered boucles with soft supple chenilles and pile yarns to give an overall soft plush hand.</p> <p>“There is a new movement toward ‘sensorial design’ for the home, with an intentional effort to make everything in the home appeal to all of your senses,” Buckner continued. “For upholstery fabric, it not only has to be visually attractive and textural, but also touching it has to create a sensory experience. … Every fabric has to excite you visually and draw you in to want to touch.”</p> <h4><strong>De Leo Textiles</strong></h4> <p>For fall, introductions are themed around the company’s latest trend study, “A De Leo State of Mind.” Calling each introduction “a gateway to a unique destination or a state of mind,” officials said that curated color palettes such as Fairytale, Desert Garden and South Beach Luxe are designed to evoke emotion and inspire creativity.</p> <p>“Our curated color palettes — like the dreamy allure of Fairytale, the vibrant bloom of Desert Garden and the opulent vibes of South Beach Luxe — are designed to evoke emotion and inspire creativity,” said Katie Atwater Williams, creative director. “In addition to these vibrant palettes, we’re excited to showcase new innovative constructions that enhance our fabric offerings.”</p> <p>The new constructions include fil coupe techniques that create unique fringe detailing and new embroidery techniques that introduce a depth of texture and color. De Leo also is unveiling innovative velvet constructions that feature multicolor designs and enhanced print capabilities for a broader range of colors. The introductions celebrate the natural world through color and texture, making them perfect for buyers looking to create immersive, transformative spaces, officials said.</p> <p>De Leo officials said that upholstery buyers are currently seeking smaller-scale patterns and subtle relief textures that can be applied across larger pieces like sofas and chairs. The resurgence of patterned fabrics on sofa bodies has opened the door for a broader range of designs with high potential for volume.</p> <p>“Customers are also looking for the best possible value, and we’ve worked hard to ensure that even our most luxurious offerings remain competitively priced without sacrificing our boutique appeal,” Williams said. “While plush boucle fabrics have dominated in recent years, and we expect they will remain popular, we are introducing a broader variety of textures. Our new collections mix plush qualities with sleek, refined fabrics, creating a depth of tactility in any space.”</p> <h4><strong>Europatex</strong></h4> <p>A key introduction at Europatex is Mosaic, one of the company’s high-performance fabrics. Available in a variety of colors, Mosaic offers a “touchable texture” that is designed to inspire a “home-like feel,” officials said.</p> <p>“Our focus for the new collections is to produce fabrics that exemplify high performance and durability, all while maintaining beauty and elegance,” said Fernando Sanchez. “These fabrics address current upholstery buyer demands with a multidimensional approach.</p> <p>“Today’s buyers are increasingly interested in low-maintenance fabrics that are easy to clean and maintain. They seek durable materials that can withstand wear and tear in both residential and commercial high-traffic areas. Sanchez noted that textured fabrics add depth and warmth to living spaces, while geometric patterns and vibrant colors enable buyers to express their own style and aesthetics.<br /> “Our collections provide opportunities to use these elements throughout spaces, ensuring a unified and cohesive themed look,” he said.</p> <h4><strong>Moore & Giles</strong></h4> <p>Three key elements are top of mind at Moore & Giles: color, comfort and texture. The leather is stained by hand during the tanning process, preserving its natural beauty while producing rich hues. Designed in Thailand, Haven offers durability and a soft, supple feel. The hand-applied staining process lends the leather an authentically aged appearance.</p> <p>Treccia features an intricate embossing technique done on Moore & Giles’ Cottswald nubuck, inspired by traditional woven patterns. This texture, crafted in Italy, adds a timeless tactile experience to the leather, officials said.</p> <p>“Comfort is the defining factor for leather to succeed in retail,” said Bo Gravely, director of sales. “Consumers are drawn to pieces with a soft, buttery hand, and our new introductions offer an unmatched seating experience. Each of these leathers delivers exceptional comfort while maintaining the high-quality aesthetic that buyers expect.”</p> <h4><strong>Regal Fabrics</strong></h4> <p>“It’s so refreshing to see color trending again,” said Sarah Surace, design director at Regal Fabrics. “Our fall 2024 collection is a feast of warm neutrals, moody blues, olive-infused greens, caramel browns and rich spice tones.</p> <p>“Consumer preference continues to trend toward more complexity in design and color; that’s reflected in our impactful layered, color-curated collection, all at the intersection of great value and beautiful design.”</p> <p>Regal’s introductions include fabrics with deepened color lines on best-selling patterns including chenille, boucle, velvet, woven and washed and washable constructions. Officials noted that Regal is also introducing five trend groups during the show including:</p> <ul> <li>Estate Aesthetic: Inspired by English country cottage décor, this features traditional designs in modernized colorations — vintage florals, elegant damasks and intricate embroideries.</li> <li>Globe Trekking: Intertwining heritage craft with contemporary styling, this includes complex ikat patterns and primitive motifs features as well as nubby boucle and plush chenille textures.</li> <li>Modern Casual: Geometrics, curved lines and vibrant ‘70s-inspired colors in a West Coast contemporary vibe are the base, with chunky textures combining with fresh colors.</li> <li>Coast Home: Blending casual transitional charm with tailored sophistication, this focuses on textures and clean-lined plaids, checks and stripes, and it evokes an easy living coastal vibe.</li> <li>Classics: Marrying traditional Asian design elements with rich textures and updated coloring, these fabrics reflect the harmonious balance of modern living and traditional artistry.</li> </ul> <p>Regal is also showing an expanded sustainable Kindred line this season, featuring curated artisan looks with new dobby, print, stripe and embroidered additions to the line’s 30-plus patterns and 300 stocked SKUs.</p> <h4><strong>STI Fabrics/Brentwood Textiles</strong></h4> <p>“This season, we have dedicated our time to carving out greater domestic price values within our offerings,” said Glen Read, design director. “Domestic bases start a $3 a yard, and our domestic pattern options start at $6.95 a yard.”</p> <p>Read added that STI developed new filling and warp yarns by blending new components. She noted that the variety is important, but the “commonality is the softness, recycled and upcycled with a goal to give natural fiber looks with manmade materials.”</p> <p>Key trends at STI and Brentwood include a color story as well as style themes. Evergreen, a new color for boucles and recycled yarns at STI/Brentwood, encompasses the deep green tones prevalent in home furnishings for 2024, a hue described by STI officials as “very livable,” a “new neutral” and a color that “draws its strength from the natural world around us.”</p> <p>Two style trends include nature-inspired palettes incorporating flowers, leaves and other motifs found in nature as well as Mid-Century-Modern-inspired designs that represent “the pairing of simple lines and materials with inspiration garnered from ancient cultures such as those found in Africa, Asia and South America,” officials said.</p> <p>Additionally, buyers in the STI/Brentwood showrooms will find organic inspirations, as well as “ready to wear” themes including classic colors, as well as woolen looks, houndstooth and graphic blocks.</p> <h4><strong>Sunbrella</strong></h4> <p>Introductions at Sunbrella nod to fashion influences with “highly textural, elegant wovens” inspired by classic tweeds as well as “luxurious and linen-inspired textures that convey a sense of casual ease,” according to Amy Gillam, designer director, indoor.</p> <p>More than 150 new SKUs will debut at Sunbrella for Interwoven.</p> <p>“Buyers are looking for versatile fabrics, trending toward a warmer, serene palette, which is evident in our new introductions,” she said. “As texture remains a priority for buyers, we continue to create new resources that allow us to bring color and texture to the forefront and retain all the performance qualities of Sunbrella fabrics. We’re particularly excited about our new body cloth Risty, featuring a velvety texture that fuses a buttery-soft hand with the robust elegance of our chenille yarn.”</p> <p>Gillam added that the Interwoven introductions are also a study in contrasts.</p> <p>“Whether it’s through color combinations such as black and cream, competing pattern scales, or variances in texture, these opposing forces are designed to help a space feel dynamic and bold when thoughtfully paired,” she said. “You’ll also see whimsical influences in our introductions that are designed to retain their sophistication yet still feel artisanal. These playful elements are key in designing a home that feels individualistic, comforting and welcoming.”</p> <h4><strong>Valdese Weavers</strong></h4> <p>Modern Roots is the newest collection from Valdese Weavers.</p> <p>Noting that the collection features pattern and texture from all four of Valdese’s core brands — Sustain, InsideOut, Valdese Weavers and Circa — officials said that Modern Roots is inspired by “laid-back, California cool looks, combining both modern elements with vintage traditional.” The classic looks paired with modern illustrate the continued evolution of the Archival Revival collection introduced earlier this year.</p> <p>“These new introductions address current buyer demand because the fabrics are designed to pair well with warm wood tones and offer a casual, laid-back coziness,” said Ann Reynolds, vice president of design. “By layering both traditional and contemporary patterns and textures, buyers are able to combine family heirlooms with modern
