To park in a disabled spot, a placard must be displayed; parking fees will be discounted upon exit.\nWheelchairs\nWheelchairs are available at the entrance to most hospital and clinic buildings. For assistance, visit the location's information desk. \nService animals\nWe welcome service animals that are individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability, and patients may bring them to all public areas of our facilities. Animals who provide therapy, comfort or emotional support are not allowed, except as trained and registered participants in our approved programs.\nInterpreter services \nWe offer free in-person and video medical interpretation for more than 200 languages, including American Sign Language. This service is available 24/7.\nAssistance for the hard of hearing\nMedical center operators are available 24 hours a day by TTY (teletypewriter, a telecommunication device for the deaf). In San Francisco, call the TTY operator at (415) 885-3889 (415-885-3TTY). In Oakland, call the operator and ask for a TTY, or dial 711 from any hospital phone.\nIf you wish to speak with someone who doesn't have a TTY, you can use a telephone relay service. For assistance, visit the location's information desk. </p> <h2>Service animals</h2> <p>We welcome service animals that are individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability, and patients may bring them to all public areas of our facilities. Animals who provide therapy, comfort or emotional support are not allowed, except as trained and registered participants in our approved programs.</p> <h2>Interpreter services </h2> <p>We offer free in-person and video <a href="/services/interpreter-services-and-communication-assistance">medical interpretation</a> for more than 200 languages, including American Sign Language. This service is available 24/7.</p> <h2>Assistance for the hard of hearing</h2> <p>Medical center operators are available 24 hours a day by TTY (teletypewriter, a telecommunication device for the deaf). In Oakland, call the operator and ask for a TTY, or dial 711 from any hospital phone.</p> <p>If you wish to speak with someone who doesn't have a TTY, you can use a telephone relay service.
