but suffer together for the gospel, according to <i>the</i> power of God, <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>the <i>One</i> having saved us and having called <i>us</i> with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, having been given us in Christ Jesus before time eternal, <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>and now having been made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, having abolished death and having brought to light life and immortality through the gospel, <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>to which I was appointed a herald, and an apostle, and a teacher. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>For this reason I also suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard my deposit entrusted for that day. </p><p class="hdg">Hold to Sound Teaching</p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Retain <i>the</i> pattern of sound words, which you have heard from me, in <i>the</i> faith and love that <i>are</i> in Christ Jesus. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>Keep the good deposit entrusted <i>to you</i> by <i>the</i> Holy Spirit, the <i>One</i> dwelling in us. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>You know this, that all those in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he refreshed me often, and he was not ashamed of my chain. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>But having arrived in Rome, he earnestly sought me out and found <i>me</i>. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/1-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>May the Lord grant unto him to find mercy from <i>the</i> Lord in that day!
