It is both a geographical and spiritual entity, chosen by God to be His people and to fulfill His divine purposes. The account of Israel unfolds throughout the Bible, from its patriarchal beginnings to its prophetic future.<br><br><b>Patriarchal Beginnings:</b> <br>The origins of Israel trace back to the patriarch Abraham, whom God called out of Ur of the Chaldeans.
