class="nota-cuerpo h5"><p>A hotel of high standards will be developed in the area to the east of Havana, the Gran Caribe Hotel Group of Cuba and Iberostar Hotels & Resorts (Spain) announced in a joint statement.</p><p>Gran Caribe will be the owner of the new facility, which will be operated by Iberostar, an establishment that seeks to combine the enjoyment of its urban spaces, culture and heritage with days of relaxation on the beach.</p><p>The hotel will have 750 rooms and its construction is planned in the vicinity of Santa María del Mar beach, in the municipality of La Habana del Este, famous for its spa.</p><p>As explained by the director of Mixed Companies of the Greater Caribbean, Mishmell Machado, it will be a product of excellence and its design will strictly respect criteria of sustainability and environmental protection.</p><p>He said that it will be a hotel under the concepts of sustainable development, which will greatly contribute to the diversification of the offer for which the Greater Caribbean and Cuba bet for the coming years.</p><p>At the recently concluded Havana International Fair, the joint venture between Gran Caribe and Iberostar, called Iberoantillas
