Prior to joining the NSC, Brian was the Director for Policy at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and served in various other positions at the Department of Homeland Security鈥檚 National Operations Center and Office of Infrastructure Protection. <br /> <br /> Brian joined DHS in November 2007 after a 28-year career in the U.S. Navy, which included operational tours flying from aircraft carriers during operations in Iraq, Bosnia, and Somalia. Brian served as an Air Wing Strike Lead flying combat missions in Desert Storm, commanded Training Squadron TEN, and was the Air Boss on the aircraft carrier USS Harry S Truman during its maiden deployment and combat operations in 2000-2001. From 2002-2004 he served at U.S. Strategic Command as Chief of the Mobile Command and Control Division Chief of Command Center Operations. Brian鈥檚 last Navy assignment was assistant professor of National Security Studies and Transportation Industry Studies at the National Defense University鈥檚 Industrial College of the Armed Forces. <br /> <br /> Brian is a graduate of Marquette University and the National Defense University鈥檚 Industrial College of the Armed Forces.</p> </div> </div>
