Watch it after the break …</p> <span id="more-975769"></span> <p>The long-standing Mac mini design measured about 7.75 inches square, and 1.4-inches tall. The new Mac mini is slightly taller at about 2 inches, but is significantly smaller in width and height. The new Mini is just 5 inches square. </p> <p>Even with its smaller size, the new design packs in I/O ports on both the front and the back of the chassis for the first time.</p> <p>In addition to the new chassis design, the new Mac mini is significantly faster than the previous generation. Apple skipped M3 for the Mac mini, so the previous most powerful model was powered by a M2 Pro chip.</p> <p>Compared to M2 Pro, Apple says the M4 Mac mini is up to 1.6x faster on CPU and 1.5x faster on GPU on average.
