The study results show this system can increase driver-s efficiency to find parking space and efficiently enhance parking convenience in comparison with roadside kanban system. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Geographic%20Information%20System" title="Geographic Information System">Geographic Information System</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=3G" title=" 3G"> 3G</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=GPS" title=" GPS"> GPS</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=parkinginformation" title=" parkinginformation"> parkinginformation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/a-study-of-geographic-information-system-combining-with-gps-and-3g-for-parking-guidance-and-information-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/242.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1814</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10998</span> Web Information System for e-Learning</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Anna%20Angelini">Anna Angelini</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Enrica%20Gentile"> Enrica Gentile</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Paola%20Plantamura"> Paola Plantamura</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Vito%20Leonardo%20Plantamura"> Vito Leonardo Plantamura</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> A suitable e-learning system management needs to carry out a web-information system in order to allow integrated fruition of data and metadata concerning the activities typical of elearning environment. The definition of a “web information system" for e-learning takes advantage of the potentialities of Web technologies both as for the access to metadata present on the several platforms, and as for the implementation of courseware which make up the relative didactic environment. What information systems have in common is the technological environment on which they are generally implemented and the use of metadata in order to structure information at all cognitive and organization levels. In this work we are going to define a methodology for the implementation of a specific web information system for an e-learning environment. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=e-learning" title="e-learning">e-learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=information%20systems" title=" information systems"> information systems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=coursemanagement" title=" coursemanagement"> coursemanagement</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=web-based%20system." title=" web-based system."> web-based system.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/web-information-system-for-e-learning" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13013.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1592</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10997</span> Information Modelling for Adaptive Composition in Collaborative Work Environment</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sang%20Keun%20Rhee">Sang Keun Rhee</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Hyojeong%20Jin"> Hyojeong Jin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jihye%20Lee"> Jihye Lee</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Misoo%20Kwon"> Misoo Kwon</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Myon-Woong%20Park"> Myon-Woong Park</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sungdo%20Ha"> Sungdo Ha</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Extensive information is required within a R&D environment, and a considerable amount of time and efforts are being spent on finding the necessary information. Mergers and acquisitions have become one of the competitive strategies for external growth. In general, it is believed that mergers and acquisitions can create synergies. However, they require complete information technology system and service integration, especially in the banking industry. Much of the research has focused on performance evaluation, shareholder equity allocation, or even the increase of company market value after the merger and acquisition, whereas few scholars have focused on information system integration post merger and acquisition. This study indicates the role of information systems after a merger and acquisition, explaining the benefits of information system integration using a merger and acquisition case in the banking industry as an example. In addition, we discuss factors that affect the performance of information system integration, and utilize system dynamics to interpret the relationship among factors that affect information system integration performance in the banking industry after a merger and acquisition. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Merger%20and%20Acquisition" title="Merger and Acquisition">Merger and Acquisition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Information%20SystemIntegration" title=" Information SystemIntegration"> Information SystemIntegration</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=System%20Dynamics" title=" System Dynamics"> System Dynamics</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/information-system-integration-after-merger-and-acquisition-in-the-banking-industry" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14363.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">5272</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10995</span> Logistics Information and Customer Service</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=%C5%A0.%20%C4%8Cemerkov%C3%A1">Š. In this paper, we propose a quantification model of controls impact on information system risks by automatizing the residual criticality estimation step of FMECA which is based on a inductive reasoning. For this, we defined three equations based on type and maturity of controls. For testing, the values obtained with the model were compared to estimated values given by interlocutors during different working sessions and the result is satisfactory. This model allows an optimal assessment of controls maturity and facilitates risk analysis of information system. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Information%20System" title="Information System">Information System</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Risk" title=" Risk"> Risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Control" title=" Control"> Control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=FMECA." title=" FMECA."> FMECA.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/modeling-the-impact-of-controls-on-information-system-risks" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003852.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1577</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10990</span> Managing the Information System Life Cycle in Construction and Manufacturing</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Carlos%20J.%20Costa">Carlos J. We consider the scenario when the HO can make use of the information collected from some correlated products to enhance its inventory planning. Motivated by our real world observations that HOs adopt RFID and bar-coding system for information collection purpose, we examine the effectiveness of these systems for inventory planning with Bayesian information updating. We derive the optimal ordering decision and study the issue of Pareto improvement in the supply chain. Our analysis demonstrates that RFID system will outperform the bar-coding system when the RFID system installation cost and the tag cost reduce to a level that is comparable with that of the barcoding system. We also show how an appropriately set wholesale pricing contract can achieve Pareto improvement in the HO supply chain.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Efficient%20consumer%20response%20program" title="Efficient consumer response program">Efficient consumer response program</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=healthcare" title=" healthcare"> healthcare</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=inventory%20management" title=" inventory management"> inventory management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=RFID%20system" title=" RFID system"> RFID system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=bar-coding%20system." title=" bar-coding system."> bar-coding system.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/the-use-of-information-for-inventory-decision-in-the-healthcare-industry" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/255.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1911</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10986</span> Information System for Data Selection and New Information Acquisition for Reconfigurable Multifunctional Machine Tools</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sasho%20Guergov">Sasho Guergov</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>The purpose of the paper is to develop an informationcontrol environment for overall management and self-reconfiguration of the reconfigurable multifunctional machine tool for machining both rotation and prismatic parts and high concentration of different technological operations - turning, milling, drilling, grinding, etc. For the realization of this purpose on the basis of defined sub-processes for the implementation of the technological process, architecture of the information-search system for machine control is suggested. The quality of the accounting information, the tax information system and the tax audit mechanism evolve multiple benefits in an economy. Tax evasion, the illegal practice where people and companies do not pay taxes, is a crime because of the negative effect in economy and society. In this paper, we describe a theoretical framework on the characteristics of a fair and efficient tax auditing information system which could be a tool against tax evasion, a tool for an economy to grow, especially in countries that face fluctuations in economic activity. We conclude that a fair and efficient tax auditing information system increases the reliability of tax administration, improves taxpayers’ tax compliance and causes a developmental trajectory for the economy.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Auditing%20information%20system" title="Auditing information system">Auditing information system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=auditing%20mechanism" title=" auditing mechanism"> auditing mechanism</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=tax%20evasion" title=" tax evasion"> tax evasion</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=taxation" title=" taxation"> taxation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=quality%20of%20accounting%20information." title=" quality of accounting information."> quality of accounting information.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/the-characteristics-of-a-fair-and-efficient-tax-auditing-information-system-as-a-tool-against-tax-evasion-a-theoretical-framework" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10010449.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1110</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10982</span> Adopted Method of Information System Strategy for Knowledge Management System: A Literature Review</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Elin%20Cahyaningsih">Elin Cahyaningsih</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Dana%20Indra%20Sensuse"> Dana Indra Sensuse</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Wahyu%20Catur%20Wibowo"> Wahyu Catur Wibowo</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sofiyanti%20Indriasari"> Sofiyanti Indriasari</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Bureaucracy reform program drives Indonesian government to change their management to enhance their organizational performance. The proposed system shows promising results and has a real impact on the local society.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Face%20comparison" title="Face comparison">Face comparison</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=card%20recognition" title=" card recognition"> card recognition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=OCR" title=" OCR"> OCR</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=checkpoint%0D%0Asystem" title=" checkpoint system"> checkpoint system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=authentication." title=" authentication."> authentication.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/automatic-checkpoint-system-using-face-and-card-information" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003361.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1792</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10979</span> A Mixed Approach to Assess Information System Risk, Operational Risk, and Congolese Microfinance Institutions Performance</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Alfred%20Kamate%20Siviri">Alfred Kamate Siviri</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Angelus%20Mafikiri%20Tsongo"> Angelus Mafikiri Tsongo</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jean%20Robert%20Kala%20Kamdjoug"> Jean Robert Kala Kamdjoug</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Well organized digitalization and information systems have been selected as relevant measures to mitigate operational risks within organizations. Unfortunately, information system comes with new threats that can cause severe damage and quick organization lockout. This study aims to measure perceived information system risks and their effects on operational risks within the microfinance institution in D.R. Congo. Also, the factors influencing the operational risk are to be identified, and the link between operational risk with other risks and performance is to be assessed. The study proposes a research model drawn on the combination of Resources-Based-View, dynamic capabilities, the agency theory, the Information System Security Model, and social theories of risk. Therefore, we suggest adopting a mixed methods research with the sole aim of increasing the literature that already exists on perceived operational risk assessment and its link with other risk and performance, with a focus on information system risks.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=information%20system%20risk" title="information system risk">information system risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=operational%20risk" title=" operational risk"> operational risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=microfinance%20performance" title=" microfinance performance"> microfinance performance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=DR%20Congo" title=" DR Congo"> DR Congo</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/a-mixed-approach-to-assess-information-system-risk-operational-risk-and-congolese-microfinance-institutions-performance" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012289.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">614</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10978</span> Providing On-Demand Path and Arrival Time Information Considering Realtime Delays of Buses</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Yoshifumi%20Ishizaki">Yoshifumi Ishizaki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Naoki%20Kanatani"> Naoki Kanatani</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Masaki%20Ito"> Masaki Ito</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Toshihiko%20Sasama"> Toshihiko Sasama</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Takao%20Kawamura"> Takao Kawamura</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kazunori%20Sugahara"> Kazunori Sugahara</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper demonstrates the bus location system for the route bus through the experiment in the real environment. A bus location system is a system that provides information such as the bus delay and positions. This system uses actual services and positions data of buses, and those information should match data on the database. The system has two possible problems. One, the system could cost high in preparing devices to get bus positions. Two, it could be difficult to match services data of buses. To avoid these problems, we have developed this system at low cost and short time by using the smart phone with GPS and the bus route system. This system realizes the path planning considering bus delay and displaying position of buses on the map. The bus location system was demonstrated on route buses with smart phones for two months. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Route%20Bus" title="Route Bus">Route Bus</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Path%20Planning%20System" title=" Path Planning System"> Path Planning System</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=GPS" title=" GPS"> GPS</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Smart%20Phone." title=" Smart Phone."> Smart Phone.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/providing-on-demand-path-and-arrival-time-information-considering-realtime-delays-of-buses" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/683.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1449</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10977</span> Testing Database of Information System using Conceptual Modeling</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Bogdan%20Walek">Bogdan Walek</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cyril%20Klimes"> Cyril Klimes</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper focuses on testing database of existing information system. At the beginning we describe the basic problems of implemented databases, such as data redundancy, poor design of database logical structure or inappropriate data types in columns of database tables. These problems are often the result of incorrect understanding of the primary requirements for a database of an information system. Then we propose an algorithm to compare the conceptual model created from vague requirements for a database with a conceptual model reconstructed from implemented database. An algorithm also suggests steps leading to optimization of implemented database. The proposed algorithm is verified by an implemented prototype. The paper also describes a fuzzy system which works with the vague requirements for a database of an information system, procedure for creating conceptual from vague requirements and an algorithm for reconstructing a conceptual model from implemented database. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=testing" title="testing">testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=database" title=" database"> database</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=relational%20database" title=" relational database"> relational database</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=information%0Asystem" title=" information system"> information system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=conceptual%20model" title=" conceptual model"> conceptual model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=fuzzy" title=" fuzzy"> fuzzy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=uncertain%20information" title=" uncertain information"> uncertain information</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=database%0Atesting" title=" database testing"> database testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=reconstruction" title=" reconstruction"> reconstruction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=requirements" title=" requirements"> requirements</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=optimization" title=" optimization"> optimization</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/testing-database-of-information-system-using-conceptual-modeling" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7241.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1445</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10976</span> Information Dissemination System (IDS) Based E-Learning in Agricultural of Iran (Perception of Iranian Extension Agents)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=A.%20R.%20Ommani">A. The case study describes the evolution of the implementation of a healthcare information system tailored to meet the needs of the healthcare units under the supervision of the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Oman. A focus group methodology was used for collecting the relevant information from the main project's stakeholders. In addition reports about the project made available for the researchers. The case analysis is made based on the Project Management approach developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The main finding that there was no formal project management approach adopted by the MOH for the development and implementation of the herewith mentioned healthcare information system project. Furthermore, the project had suffered a scope creep in terms of features, cost and time-schedule. The recommendations of the authors, for the rescue of the project from its current dilemma, consist of technological, administrative and human resources development actions.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Al-Shifa" title="Al-Shifa">Al-Shifa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Information%20system" title=" Information system"> Information system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Healthcare" title=" Healthcare"> Healthcare</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Oman" title=" Oman"> Oman</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Project%20Management." title=" Project Management."> Project Management.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/a-case-study-of-al-shifa-a-healthcare-information-system-in-oman" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998985.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">5368</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10973</span> Biometric Steganography Using Variable Length Embedding</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Souvik%20Bhattacharyya">Souvik Bhattacharyya</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Indradip%20Banerjee"> Indradip Banerjee</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Anumoy%20Chakraborty"> Anumoy Chakraborty</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Gautam%20Sanyal"> Gautam Sanyal</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Recent growth in digital multimedia technologies has presented a lot of facilities in information transmission, reproduction and manipulation. Therefore, the concept of information security is one of the superior articles in the present day situation. The biometric information security is one of the information security mechanisms. It has the advantages as well as disadvantages. The biometric system is at risk to a range of attacks. These attacks are anticipated to bypass the security system or to suspend the normal functioning. Various hazards have been discovered while using biometric system. Proper use of steganography greatly reduces the risks in biometric systems from the hackers. Steganography is one of the fashionable information hiding technique. The goal of steganography is to hide information inside a cover medium like text, image, audio, video etc. through which it is not possible to detect the existence of the secret information. Here in this paper a new security concept has been established by making the system more secure with the help of steganography along with biometric security. Here the biometric information has been embedded to a skin tone portion of an image with the help of proposed steganographic technique.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Biometrics" title="Biometrics">Biometrics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Skin%20tone%20detection" title=" Skin tone detection"> Skin tone detection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Series" title=" Series"> Series</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Polynomial" title=" Polynomial"> Polynomial</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cover%20Image" title=" Cover Image"> Cover Image</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Stego%20Image." title=" Stego Image."> Stego Image.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/biometric-steganography-using-variable-length-embedding" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998782.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2670</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10972</span> Distributed GIS Based Decision Support System for Efficiency Evaluation of Education System: A Case Study of Primary School Education System of Bundelkhand Zone, Uttar Pradesh, India</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Garima%20Srivastava">Garima Srivastava</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=R.%20K.%20Srivastava"> R. Although there are so many CLIR systems had been researched and built, the accuracy of searching results in different languages that the CLIR system supports still need to improve, especially in finding bilingual documents. The problems identified in this paper are the limitation of machine translation-s result and the extra large collections of document to be found. So we try to establish a different model to overcome these problems. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Bilingual%20Information%20Retrieval" title="Bilingual Information Retrieval">Bilingual Information Retrieval</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cross-lingual%20Information%20Retrieval" title=" Cross-lingual Information Retrieval"> Cross-lingual Information Retrieval</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Bilingual%20Web%20sites." title=" Bilingual Web sites."> Bilingual Web sites.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/a-new-model-of-english-vietnamese-bilingual-information-retrieval-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7502.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1628</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10970</span> Methodology for Quantifying the Meaning of Information in Biological Systems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Richard%20L.%20Summers">Richard L. Summers</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>The advanced computational analysis of biological systems is becoming increasingly dependent upon an understanding of the information-theoretic structure of the materials, energy and interactive processes that comprise those systems. The stability and survival of these living systems is fundamentally contingent upon their ability to acquire and process the meaning of information concerning the physical state of its biological continuum (biocontinuum). The drive for adaptive system reconciliation of a divergence from steady state within this biocontinuum can be described by an information metric-based formulation of the process for actionable knowledge acquisition that incorporates the axiomatic inference of Kullback-Leibler information minimization driven by survival replicator dynamics. If the mathematical expression of this process is the Lagrangian integrand for any change within the biocontinuum then it can also be considered as an action functional for the living system. In the direct method of Lyapunov, such a summarizing mathematical formulation of global system behavior based on the driving forces of energy currents and constraints within the system can serve as a platform for the analysis of stability. As the system evolves in time in response to biocontinuum perturbations, the summarizing function then conveys information about its overall stability. This stability information portends survival and therefore has absolute existential meaning for the living system. The first derivative of the Lyapunov energy information function will have a negative trajectory toward a system steady state if the driving force is dissipating. By contrast, system instability leading to system dissolution will have a positive trajectory. The direction and magnitude of the vector for the trajectory then serves as a quantifiable signature of the meaning associated with the living system’s stability information, homeostasis and survival potential.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Semiotic%20meaning" title="Semiotic meaning">Semiotic meaning</a>, <a
