whose mouths must be stopped: <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/titus/1-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>who subvert whole families, teaching what they ought not, for shameful gain: <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/titus/1-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><i>as</i> said one of themselves, a prophet of their own, "The Cretans <i>are</i> always liars, mischievous beasts, sluggish gluttons." <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/titus/1-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>This testimony is true: for which cause rebuke them sharply, that they may be found in the faith; <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/titus/1-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>not attending to Jewish fables, and the precepts of men who turn away from the truth. <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/titus/1-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>To the pure indeed all things <i>are</i> pure;
