Johnson, group president of Caterpillar Inc., will chair MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2024. Johnson, who first joined Caterpillar more than a decade ago, is a well-known leader in the industry and was the first woman to be inducted to the American Mining Hall of Fame.</p> <p>MINExpo INTERNATIONAL, powered by the National Mining Association, is held every four years and is the world’s largest and most comprehensive global mining event, bringing together industry leaders who are ready to purchase the latest equipment and services, explore innovative new technologies, meet face-to-face with suppliers and make valuable new connections.</p> <p>“I am pleased to chair the most expansive view of the latest advancements in the mining industry at MINExpo 2024,” said <br /> Johnson. “There is no better time than now to show the deep expertise that is driving innovations in safety, automation, energy management and site optimization.”</p> <p>A Portland, Michigan, native, Johnson graduated from Michigan State University and earned dual master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her career has included a range of experience, including time with General Motors, where she built deep expertise in operations and product management.
