He had with him his servant and a couple of donkeys. And she brought him into her father’s house. And the girl’s father said, “Strengthen your heart and wait until the day declines.” So they ate, both of them.</span></td><td width="20%" class="even" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/judges/19-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="btext3">On the fifth day he arose to go early in the morning, and the girl's father said, "Please sustain yourself, and wait until afternoon"; so both of them ate.</span></td><td width="20%" class="even" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/judges/19-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="btext4">And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart: and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. Spend the night here; the day is nearly over. Stay and enjoy yourself.
