Danto&#39;s passionate confrontation with German philosophy. As will emerge, it is neither an analysis planned according to a precise chronological order, nor a rigidly systematic investigation. In a succession of irreverent betrayals, syncretistic appropriations and courageous afterthoughts, Danto will proceed rather backwards, going from Nietzsche to Hegel and from Hegel to Kant. Nell’archivio della studiosa sono conservate le stampe fotografiche che documentano i suoi sopralluoghi sul campo, insieme alla corrispondenza con gli organi preposti alla tutela e con studiosi di vaglia. Ciò consente di soffermarsi su alcuni momenti cruciali che, tra gli anni Sessanta e Ottanta del Novecento, la videro lottare contro la dilagante violenza della cementificazione selvaggia sulle coste calabresi, a ridosso di importanti testimonianze storiche e archeologiche. Tra queste emergono i luoghi dove Flavio Magno Aurelio Cassiodoro si era ritirato intorno alla metà del VI secolo, al termine della sua carriera politica alla corte di Ravenna. Un sito che per la sua importanza storica registrava le campagne di scavo dell’École française de Rome.
