Pour éviter que l’approche interdisciplinaire se réduise à un avant-gardisme, il est nécessaire de définir les conditions pratiques d’une mise en relation des différentes sciences sociales dépassant la rencontre entre disciplines académiques ou le goût éclectique pour l’exotisme. Les huit séances du cours présentées ci-dessous chercheront à fournir à la fois une méthode pour la construction de notions analytiques par les jeunes chercheurs en histoire et en sociologie et un ensemble d’outils favorisant l’objectivation du travail scientifique en sciences sociales.</p> <h1>Programme</h1> <p style="text-align: left;">Faire de la sociologie historique Séminaire, Université de Namur -<strong> Alexis Fontbonne</strong> (UNamur, Come 2 Wallonia)</p> <ul> <li>Séance 1, 21 novembre 2024 - 10h30-12h30</li> </ul> <h3>La sociologie historique, unité primitive des sciences sociales</h3> <p style="text-align: left;">Cette première séance vise à tracer brièvement le parcours de la sociologie historique, d’en présenter les limites essentielles (impossibilité du formalisme, postulat unitaire) et les erreurs de perception dont elle peut faire l’objet (confusion entre spécification et valorisation, « européocentrisme »).</p> <ul> <li>Séance 2, 19 décembre 2024 - 10h30-12h30</li> </ul> <h3>La construction des notions : opérateurs analytiques, comparatisme et concepts singuliers</h3> <p style="text-align: left;">La division du travail entre la sociologie comme productrice de notions et l’histoire source d’exemples constituant l’un des principaux obstacles épistémologiques à une pratique conséquente de la sociologie historique, il est nécessaire de définir une méthode d’élaboration des notions pouvant servir d’opérateurs analytiques. Dans ce cadre, la question du comparatisme, terme recouvrant des pratiques diverses et parfois contraires, apparaît centrale.</p> <ul> <li>Séances 3-4 - 23 janvier et 13 février 2025, 10h30-12h30</li> </ul> <h3>L’approche idéal-typique</h3> <p style="text-align: left;">Le comparatisme wébérien fournit la base d’une approche idéal-typique, qui permet à la fois une pratique des notions distincte de celle de la philosophie tout en évitant de faire d’un appareil conceptuel une quasi-mythologie. La présentation se concentrera ensuite sur un type particulier de figures idéal-typiques : les spécialistes de la manipulation des biens de Salut (prêtre, prophète, moine, magicien).</p> <ul> <li>Séance 5 - 6 mars 2025, 10h30-12h30</li> </ul> <h3>Des agents au champ</h3> <p style="text-align: left;">Cette séance intermédiaire a pour but de présenter la transition, à la fois dans l’histoire de la sociologie historique et sur le plan des transformations conceptuelles, qui va des figures idéal-typiques d’agents spécialistes à la notion de champ. Pour cela, il faut intégrer deux dimensions fondamentales qui ne sont pas exemptes d’apories : les effets d’homologies structurelles (<em>i.e.</em> des formes sociales comparables par leurs effets dans des espaces sociaux distincts), souvent présentés comme « défis au positivisme », et les non-spécialistes qui ne doivent pas être réduits à la position de consommateurs passifs.</p> <ul> <li>Séances 6-7 - 3 avril 2025 et 15 mai 2025, 10h30-12h30</li> </ul> <h3>Les formes de l’économie symbolique</h3> <p style="text-align: left;">Cette seconde double séance se donne pour but, en partant des apports épistémologiques de la notion de champ de fournir une grammaire analytique pour les formes et les variations de formes au sein d’une économie symbolique, en partant du principe que non seulement la notion de champ n’épuise pas la description de ces variations mais que le champ lui-même est marqué par une forte dualité entre ses dimensions « temporelle » et « spirituelle ».</p> <ul> <li>Séance 8 12 juin 2025, 10h30-12h30</li> </ul> <h3>La sociologie historique : une science sociale mondaine</h3> <p style="text-align: left;">En revenant à l’affirmation introductive suivant laquelle l’une des limites essentielles de l’analyse en sciences sociales est son caractère parcellaire à l’égard du monde dans lequel elle s’inscrit, on cherchera dans cette séance conclusive à montrer comment peuvent être prises en compte des notions comme les variations d’échelles et la finitude du monde dans l’analyse socio-historique.</p> <h1>Contact</h1> <ul>
