For this purpose, we follow the rules and guidelines in term of functionality and use of text and images for government websites.</p></div> <h2>What is an accessible website?</h2> <p>An accessible website is easy to use for everyone. It is decided that government websites apply to rules as stated in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. We secure a good accessibility of our website by to take measures in our (daily) processes. You can read our published accessibility statement (in Dutch): <a href="https://www.toegankelijkheidsverklaring.nl/register/2562" class="external" aria-label="Toegankelijkheidsverklaring (opent externe website)">Toegankelijkheidsverklaring</a>.</p><h2>Accessible content</h2> <p>DT&V uses a government shared infrastructure, which is called the Platform Rijksoverheid Online (PRO). This infrastructure fulfills the functional-technical demands for accessibility.</p> <p>The editors of this website are in possession of the knowledge and skills to secure accessible content. They take care of understandable and scannable text, evident hyperlinks and file names, alternative text for images and they make sure text in different languages is recognizable for reading software.</p><h2>Non applicable components</h2> <p>This site was transferred to PRO in September 2020. Some documents precede that date. Some of these documents do not apply to the accessibility rules. Since July 2020 we only add accessible documents.</p> <p>Furthermore, videos on our YouTube channel do not follow the accessibility rules as of yet.
