And you have tested those claiming to be apostles and are not, and you have found them false. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>And you have perseverance, and have endured for the sake of My name, and have not grown weary. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>But I have against you that you have abandoned your first love. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works. But if not, I am coming to you, and I will remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you should repent. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>But you have this, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>The <i>one</i> having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the <i>one</i> overcoming, I will give to him to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. </p><p class="hdg">To the Church in Smyrna</p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And to the messenger of the church in Smyrna write:</p><p class="red"> These things says the First and the Last, who became dead and came to life. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>I know your tribulation and poverty—but you are rich—and the blasphemy of those claiming themselves to be Jews and are not, but <i>are</i> a synagogue of Satan. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast <i>some</i> of you into prison, so that you might be tested; and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give to you the crown of life. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>The <i>one</i> having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The <i>one</i> overcoming shall not be injured by the second death. </p><p class="hdg">To the Church in Pergamum</p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>And to <i>the</i> messenger of the church in Pergamum write:</p><p class="red"> These things says the <i>One</i> having the sharp two-edged sword. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>I know where you dwell, where the throne of Satan <i>is</i>; and you hold fast to My name, and you have not denied My faith, even in the days of Antipas My witness, My faithful <i>one</i>, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>But I have a few things against you, because you have <i>some</i> there holding the teaching of Balaam, who would teach Balak to cast a snare before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>So likewise you also have <i>some</i> holding the teaching of the Nicolaitans. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Therefore repent! But if not, I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth. </p><p class="red"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/2-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>The <i>one</i> having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
