course and paid a deposit to secure your place, this deposit is generally non-refundable.</p> <p>However, there are certain circumstances under which you can apply for a refund of your deposit.</p> <hr> </div><div class="row wysiwyg"> <h2><a id="deposit-refund"></a>Who can apply for an application deposit refund?</h2> <p>We will refund your deposit in full if you meet <strong>one</strong> of the following conditions:</p> <ul> <li>you fail to meet the relevant conditions of your offer and can produce evidence that you made all reasonable attempts to do so; or</li> <li>you are refused a relevant visa – you will need to provide a Refusal of Entry Clearance letter from UK Visas and Immigration. This does not apply in cases where entry clearance was refused as a result of a fraudulent application or a pre-standing Home Office ban on entry; or</li> <li>you have evidence of extreme or exceptional mitigating circumstances – these will be considered on a case-by-case basis.</li> </ul> <p>If you are not eligible for a deposit refund, this portion of the fee will be excluded from the calculation of any tuition fee refund due.</p> <p>This will also be the case for self-funding students who were not required to pay a deposit on acceptance of their offer for a course that would ordinarily require a deposit.</p> <p>See the Postgraduate application deposit policy on this page for full details.</p> <p><a href="#top">Back to top of page</a></p> </div><div class="row wysiwyg"> <h2><a id="extreme-mitigating-circumstances"></a>Extreme mitigating circumstances</h2> <p>For a refund to be granted under extreme mitigating circumstances, you must provide evidence of an unpredictable and unexpected event that has caused you to no longer be able to take you up your place</p> <p>We will consider all requests on a case-by-case basis.</p> <p>If you believe that your circumstances make you eligible for a refund on the basis of extreme mitigating circumstances, please use <a href="https://servicemgt.service-now.com/ask?id=sc_cat_item&table=sc_cat_item&sys_id=0595da471b4146501533a8a4bd4bcb67" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this internal form</a> to submit a case via ASK Imperial.
