Though often viewed as a stoic giant in Hollywood, her recent divorce from Brad Pitt offered people a more vulnerable aspect of her personality as the breakup had a direct effect on her health.</p> <p>“My body reacts very strongly to stress. My blood sugar goes up and down. I suddenly had Bell’s palsy six months before my divorce,” she told <a href="https://wsjshop.com/collections/wsjmagazine?srsltid=AfmBOoqIn9p12_ZwW56s0cB6-sx5qHHAtBoD7-vAZF96qaTBjCDZq-mt">WSJ Magazine</a>.</p> <h2>3. George Clooney</h2> <p>Another giant in the industry, George Clooney opened up about his fight with Bell’s palsy during a sit-down on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show in 2023.</p> <p>Sharing a picture of George at 15 with a wonky smile, Jimmy was about to crack a joke as his George chimed in: “You’re gonna make a joke. I have Bell’s palsy there and half of my face is paralysed!”</p> <p>He added: “It was very awkward being watched like that, everybody looking, and then all of a sudden your face goes flat? My dad would always say, ‘It’s going to go away, you’ll be fine, you can handle it’.”</p> <h2>4. Pierce Brosnan</h2> <p>Even James Bond himself has battled Bell’s palsy, or at least one of his actors, Pierce Brosnan, has. While working 16-hour days on the set of Remington Steele in 1982, Pierce claimed he caught the condition while filming a shirtless scene in a river.</p> <p>He was put on the immune system suppressant Prednisone and found that the condition went away a few weeks later. Still, he insisted he only be shot from the left side of his face to maintain his image.</p> <h2>5.
