I kept<MH1934> looking<MH2370> until<MH5705, 1768> its wings<MH1611> were plucked<MH4804>, and it was lifted<MH5191> up<MH5191> from the ground<MH772> and set<MH6966> up<MH6966> on two feet<MH7271> like a man<MH606>; a human<MH606> <a href="#fn">[e]</a>mind<MH3825> also was given<MH3052> to it. <a href="/daniel/7-5.htm">5</a>And behold<MH718>, another<MH321> beast<MH2423>, a second<MH8578> one, resembling<MH1821> a bear<MH1678>. And it was raised<MH6966> up<MH6966> on one<MH2298> side<MH7859>, and three<MH8532> ribs<MH5967> were in its mouth<MH6433> between<MH997> its teeth<MH8128>; and they said<MH560> this<MH3652> to it: ‘Arise<MH6966>, devour<MH399> much<MH7690> meat<MH1321>!’ <a href="/daniel/7-6.htm">6</a>After<MH870> this<MH1836> I kept<MH1934> looking<MH2370>, and behold<MH718>, another<MH321> one, like a leopard<MH5245>, which<MH1768> had on its <a href="#fn">[f]</a>back<MH1355> four<MH703> wings<MH1611> of a bird<MH5776>; the beast<MH2423> also had four<MH703> heads<MH7217>, and dominion<MH7985> was given<MH3052> to it. <a href="/daniel/7-7.htm">7</a>After<MH870> this<MH1836> I kept<MH1934> looking<MH2370> in the night<MH3916> visions<MH2376>, and behold<MH718>, a fourth<MH7244> beast<MH2423>, dreadful<MH1763> and terrible<MH368b>, and extremely<MH3493> strong<MH8624>; and it had large<MH7229> iron<MH6523> teeth<MH8128>. It devoured<MH399> and crushed<MH1855>, and trampled<MH7512> down<MH7512> the remainder<MH7606> with its feet<MH7271>; and it was different<MH8133> from all<MH3606> the beasts<MH2423> that were before<MH6925> it, and it had ten<MH6236> horns<MH7162>. <a href="/daniel/7-8.htm">8</a>While I was thinking<MH7920> about the horns<MH7162>, behold<MH431>, another<MH321> horn<MH7162>, a little<MH2192> one<MH2192>, came<MH5559b> up<MH5559b> among<MH997> them, and three<MH8532> of the previous<MH6933> horns<MH7162> were plucked<MH6132> out<MH6132> before<MH4481, 6925> it; and behold<MH431>, <a href="#fn">[g]</a>this<MH1668> horn<MH7162> possessed eyes<MH5870a> like human<MH606> eyes<MH5870a>, and a mouth<MH6433> uttering<MH4449> great<MH7229> boasts. The Ancient of Days Reigns<poetry><a href="/daniel/7-9.htm">9</a>“I kept<MH1934> looking<MH2370> <t>Until<MH5705, 1768> thrones<MH3764> were set<MH7412> up, <t>And the Ancient<MH6268> of Days<MH3118> took<MH3488> His seat<MH3488>; <t>His garment<MH3831> was white<MH2358> as snow<MH8517>, <t>And the hair<MH8177> of His head<MH7217> like pure<MH5343> wool<MH6015>. <t>His throne<MH3764> was <a href="#fn">[h]</a>ablaze<MH5135> with flames<MH7631>, <t>Its wheels<MH1535> were a burning<MH1815> fire<MH5135>. <poetry><a href="/daniel/7-10.htm">10</a>“A river<MH5103> of fire<MH5135> was flowing<MH5047> <t>And coming<MH5312> out<MH5312> from before<MH6925> Him; <t>Thousands<MH506> upon thousands<MH506> were serving<MH8120> Him, <t>And myriads<MH7240> upon myriads<MH7240> were standing<MH6966> before<MH6925> Him; <t>The court<MH1780> <a href="#fn">[i]</a>convened<MH3488>, <t>And the books<MH5609> were opened<MH6606>. <A><a href="/daniel/7-11.htm">11</a>Then<MH116> I kept<MH1934> looking<MH2370> because<MH4481> of the sound<MH7032a> of the <a href="#fn">[j]</a>boastful<MH7229> words<MH4406> which<MH1768> the horn<MH7162> was speaking<MH4449>; I kept<MH1934> looking<MH2370> until<MH5705, 1768> the beast<MH2423> was killed<MH6992>, and its body<MH1655> was destroyed<MH7> and given<MH3052> to the burning<MH3346> <a href="#fn">[k]</a>fire<MH785>. <a href="/daniel/7-12.htm">12</a>As for the rest<MH7606> of the beasts<MH2423>, their dominion<MH7985> was taken<MH5709> away<MH5709>, but an extension<MH754> of life<MH2417> was granted<MH3052> to them for an appointed<MH2166> period<MH2166> of time<MH5732>. The Son of Man Presented<poetry><a href="/daniel/7-13.htm">13</a>“I kept<MH1934> looking<MH2370> in the night<MH3916> visions<MH2376>, <t>And behold<MH718>, with the clouds<MH6050> of heaven<MH8065> <t>One like a son<MH1247> of man<MH606> was coming<MH858>, <t>And He came<MH4291> up<MH4291> to the Ancient<MH6268> of Days<MH3118> <t>And was presented<MH7127> before<MH6925> Him. <poetry><a href="/daniel/7-14.htm">14</a>“And to Him was given<MH3052> dominion<MH7985>, <t>Honor<MH3367>, and <a href="#fn">[l]</a>a kingdom<MH4437>, <t>So that all<MH3606> the peoples<MH5972>, nations<MH524>, and populations of all <a href="#fn">[m]</a>languages<MH3961> <t>Might serve<MH6399> Him. <t>His dominion<MH7985> is an everlasting<MH5957> dominion<MH7985> <t>Which<MH1768> will not pass<MH5709> away<MH5709>; <t>And His kingdom<MH4437> is one <t>Which<MH1768> will not be destroyed<MH2255>. The Vision Interpreted<a href="/daniel/7-15.htm">15</a>“As for me, Daniel<MH1841>, my spirit<MH7308> was distressed<MH3735> within<MH1459> <a href="#fn">[n]</a>me, and the visions<MH2376> <a href="#fn">[o]</a>in my mind<MH7217> kept alarming<MH927> me. <a href="/daniel/7-16.htm">16</a>I approached<MH7127> one<MH2298> of those who were standing<MH6966> by and began requesting<MH1156> of him the <a href="#fn">[p]</a>exact<MH3330a> meaning<MH3330a> of all<MH3606> this<MH1836>. So he told<MH560> me and made<MH3046> known<MH3046> to me the interpretation<MH6591> of these things<MH4406>: <a href="/daniel/7-17.htm">17</a>‘These<MH459> great<MH7229> beasts<MH2423>, which<MH1768> are four<MH703> in number, are four<MH703> kings<MH4430> who will arise<MH6966> from the earth<MH772>. <a href="/daniel/7-18.htm">18</a>But the <a href="#fn">[q]</a>saints<MH6922> of the Highest<MH5946> One<MH5946> will receive<MH6902> the kingdom<MH4437> and take<MH2631> possession<MH2631> of the kingdom<MH4437> forever<MH5957>, <a href="#fn">[r]</a>for all<MH5957> ages<MH5957> to<MH5957> come<MH5957>.’ <a href="/daniel/7-19.htm">19</a>“Then<MH116> I desired<MH6634> to know<MH3321> the<MH3321> <a href="#fn">[s]</a>exact<MH3321> meaning<MH3321> of the fourth<MH7244> beast<MH2423>, which<MH1768> was different<MH8133> from all<MH3606> <a href="#fn">[t]</a>the others, exceedingly<MH3493> dreadful<MH1763>, with its teeth<MH8128> of iron<MH6523> and its claws<MH2953> of bronze<MH5174>, and which devoured<MH399>, crushed<MH1855>, and trampled<MH7512> down<MH7512> the remainder<MH7606> with its feet<MH7271>, <a href="/daniel/7-20.htm">20</a>and the meaning of the ten<MH6236> horns<MH7162> that were on its head<MH7217>, and the other<MH321> horn which<MH1768> came<MH5559b> up<MH5559b>, and before<MH4481, 6925> which three<MH8532> of the horns fell<MH5308>, namely, that horn<MH7162> which had eyes<MH5870a> and a mouth<MH6433> uttering<MH4449> great<MH7229> boasts, and <a href="#fn">[u]</a>which was larger<MH7229> in appearance<MH2376> than<MH4481> its associates<MH2273>. <a href="/daniel/7-21.htm">21</a>I kept<MH1934> looking<MH2370>, and that horn<MH7162> was waging<MH5648> war<MH7129> with the <a href="#fn">[v]</a>saints<MH6922> and prevailing<MH3202> against<MH3202> them, <a href="/daniel/7-22.htm">22</a>until<MH5705, 1768> the Ancient<MH6268> of Days<MH3118> came<MH858> and judgment<MH1780> was <a href="#fn">[w]</a>passed<MH3052> in favor of the <a href="#fn">[x]</a>saints<MH6922> of the Highest<MH5946> One<MH5946>, and the time<MH2166> arrived<MH4291> when the <a href="#fn">[y]</a>saints<MH6922> took<MH2631> possession<MH2631> of the kingdom<MH4437>. <a href="/daniel/7-23.htm">23</a>“This<MH3652> is<MH3652> what<MH3652> he said<MH560>: ‘The fourth<MH7244> beast<MH2423> will be a fourth<MH7244> kingdom<MH4437> on the earth<MH772> which<MH1768> will be different<MH8133> from all<MH3606> the other kingdoms<MH4437>, and will devour<MH399> the whole<MH3606> earth<MH772> and trample<MH1759> it down<MH1759> and crush<MH1855> it. <a href="/daniel/7-24.htm">24</a>As for the ten<MH6236> horns<MH7162>, out of this kingdom<MH4437> ten<MH6236> kings<MH4430> will arise<MH6966>; and another<MH321> will arise<MH6966> after<MH311> them, and he will be different<MH8133> from the previous<MH6933> ones<MH6933> and will <a href="#fn">[z]</a>humble<MH8214> three<MH8532> kings<MH4430>. <a href="/daniel/7-25.htm">25</a>And he will <a href="#fn">[aa]</a>speak<MH4449> against<MH6655> the Most<MH5943> High<MH5943> and wear<MH1080> down<MH1080> the <a href="#fn">[ab]</a>saints<MH6922> of the Highest<MH5946> One<MH5946>, and he will intend<MH5452> to make<MH8133> alterations<MH8133> in times<MH2166> and in law<MH1882>; and <a href="#fn">[ac]</a>they will be handed<MH3052, 3028> over<MH3052> to him for a <a href="#fn">[ad]</a>time<MH5732>, <a href="#fn">[ae]</a>times<MH5732>, and half<MH6387> a <a href="#fn">[af]</a>time<MH5732>. <a href="/daniel/7-26.htm">26</a>But the court<MH1780> will <a href="#fn">[ag]</a>convene<MH3488> for judgment, and his dominion<MH7985> will be taken<MH5709> away<MH5709>, <a href="#fn">[ah]</a>annihilated<MH8046a> and destroyed<MH7> <a href="#fn">[ai]</a>forever<MH5491>. <a href="/daniel/7-27.htm">27</a>Then the <a href="#fn">[aj]</a>sovereignty<MH4437>, the dominion<MH7985>, and the greatness<MH7238> of all the kingdoms<MH4437> under<MH8460> the whole<MH3606> heaven<MH8065> will be given<MH3052> to the people<MH5972> of the <a href="#fn">[ak]</a>saints<MH6922> of the Highest<MH5946> One<MH5946>; His kingdom<MH4437> will be an everlasting<MH5957> kingdom<MH4437>, and all<MH3606> the empires<MH7985> will serve<MH6399> and obey<MH8086> Him.’ <a href="/daniel/7-28.htm">28</a>“<a href="#fn">[al]</a>At this<MH3542> point<MH3542> the revelation<MH4406> ended<MH5491>.
