Cloud computing promises achieved by using the virtual machine as a basic unite of computation. However, the virtual machine pre-defined settings might be not enough to handle jobs QoS requirements. This paper addresses the problem of mapping jobs have critical start deadlines to virtual machines that have predefined specifications. These virtual machines hosted by physical machines and shared a fixed amount of bandwidth. This paper proposed an algorithm that uses the idle virtual machines bandwidth to increase the quote of other virtual machines nominated as executors to urgent jobs. An algorithm with empirical study have been given to evaluate the impact of the proposed model on impatient jobs. The results show the importance of dynamic bandwidth allocation in virtualized environment and its affect on throughput metric. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Insufficient%20bandwidth" title="Insufficient bandwidth">Insufficient bandwidth</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=virtual%20machine" title=" virtual machine"> virtual machine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=cloudprovider" title=" cloudprovider"> cloudprovider</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=impatient%20jobs." title=" impatient jobs."> impatient jobs.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/virtual-machines-cooperation-for-impatient-jobs-under-cloud-paradigm" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11292.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1680</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">106</span> Upgrading Performance of DSR Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Alilou">Mehdi Alilou</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Dehghan"> Mehdi Dehghan</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Routing in mobile ad hoc networks is a challenging task because nodes are free to move randomly. In DSR like all On- Demand routing algorithms, route discovery mechanism is associated with great delay. More Clearly in DSR routing protocol to send route reply packet, when current route breaks, destination seeks a new route. In this paper we try to change route selection mechanism proactively. We also define a link stability parameter in which a stability value is assigned to each link. Given this feature, destination node can estimate stability of routes and can select the best and more stable route. Therefore we can reduce the delay and jitter of sending data packets.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=DSR" title="DSR">DSR</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=MANET" title=" MANET"> MANET</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=proactive" title=" proactive"> proactive</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=routing." title=" routing."> routing.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/upgrading-performance-of-dsr-routing-protocol-in-mobile-ad-hoc-networks" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11308.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2358</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">105</span> Flow Discharge Determination in Meandering Compound Channels Using Experimental Methods</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Kheradmand">Mehdi Kheradmand</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Azhdary%20Moghaddam"> Mehdi Azhdary Moghaddam</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Abdolreza%20Zahiri"> Abdolreza Zahiri</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohadeseh%20Kheradmand"> Mohadeseh Kheradmand</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Determining the flow discharge in meandering channels with a compound cross section is associated with problems due to the complex hydraulic structure of the flow in the meander belt, which can be attributed to different and ever-changing geometric shapes of the meander. If possible, identifying homogenous limits and providing simple linear relations for each of these limits will increase the accuracy of models. Accordingly, the models are divided into simpler and smaller problems to solve complicated problems, and the obtained answers will be combined. This simple idea can be applied to decision tree models. For this aim, the input data values are divided into several sub-intervals or sub-regions, and an appropriate model is extracted for an appropriate model or equation. This research proposes the M5 decision tree method as a solution to accurately compute the flow discharge in meandering compound channels.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Stage-discharge%20relationship" title="Stage-discharge relationship">Stage-discharge relationship</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=decision%20tree" title=" decision tree"> decision tree</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=M5%20decision%20tree%20model" title=" M5 decision tree model"> M5 decision tree model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=meandering%20compound%20channels." title=" meandering compound channels."> meandering compound channels.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/determining-of-stage-discharge-relationship-for-meandering-compound-channels-using-m5-decision-tree-model" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013165.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">245</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">101</span> A New Verified Method for Solving Nonlinear Equations</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Taher%20Lotfi">Taher Lotfi </a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Parisa%20Bakhtiari"> Parisa Bakhtiari </a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Katayoun%20Mahdiani"> Katayoun Mahdiani </a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Salimi"> Mehdi Salimi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>In this paper, verified extension of the Ostrowski method which calculates the enclosure solutions of a given nonlinear equation is introduced. In contrast, in developing countries where R&amp;D assets are very low, there is relatively little research to mention in the area of pharmaceutical sector innovation, characterized mainly by two principal elements which are the presence of foreign-owned firms and licensed manufacturing agreements between local firms and multinationals. With the scarcity of research in this field, this paper attempts to study the effect of these two elements on the firms&rsquo; innovation tendencies. Other traditional factors that influence innovation, which are the age and the size of the firm, the R&amp;D activities and the market structure, revealed in the literature review, will be included in the study in order to try to make this work more exhaustive. The study starts by examining innovation tendency in pharmaceutical firms located in developing countries before analyzing the effect of foreign-owned firms and licensed manufacturing agreements between local firms and multinationals on technological, organizational and marketing innovation. Based on the related work and on the theoretical framework developed, there is a probability that foreign-owned firms and licensed manufacturing agreements between local firms and multinationals have a negative influence on technological innovation. The opposite effect is possible in the case of organizational and marketing innovation.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Developing%20countries" title="Developing countries">Developing countries</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=foreign%20owned%20firms" title=" foreign owned firms"> foreign owned firms</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=innovation" title=" innovation"> innovation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=licensed%20manufacturing%20agreements" title=" licensed manufacturing agreements"> licensed manufacturing agreements</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=pharmaceutical%20industry." title=" pharmaceutical industry. The carry free nature, which makes the arithmetic, carry bounded as well as the paralleling facility is the reason of its capability of high speed rendering. Since carry is not propagated between the moduli in this system, the performance is only restricted by the speed of the operations in each modulus. In this paper a novel method of number representation by use of redundancy is suggested in which {rn- 2,rn-1,rn} is the reference moduli set where r=2k+1 and k =1, 2,3,.. This method achieves fast computations and conversions and makes the circuits of them much simpler. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Binary%20to%20RNS%20converter" title="Binary to RNS converter">Binary to RNS converter</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Carry%20save%20adder" title=" Carry save adder"> Carry save adder</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Computer%20arithmetic" title="Computer arithmetic">Computer arithmetic</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Residue%20number%20system." title=" Residue number system."> Residue number system.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/a-robust-redundant-residue-representation-in-residue-number-system-with-moduli-setrn-2rn-1rn" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/11226.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1371</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">86</span> Learning FCM by Tabu Search</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Somayeh%20Alizadeh">Somayeh Alizadeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Ghazanfari"> Mehdi Ghazanfari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mostafa%20Jafari"> Mostafa Jafari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Salman%20Hooshmand"> Salman Hooshmand</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs) is a causal graph, which shows the relations between essential components in complex systems. Experts who are familiar with the system components and their relations can generate a related FCM. Our proposed converter is very faster and results to hardware savings, compared to the other reverse converters. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Reverse%20converter" title="Reverse converter">Reverse converter</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=residue%20to%20weighted%20converter" title=" residue to weighted converter"> residue to weighted converter</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=residue%20number%20system" title="residue number system">residue number system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=multiple-valued%20logic" title=" multiple-valued logic"> multiple-valued logic</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=computer%20arithmetic." title=" computer arithmetic."> computer arithmetic.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/a-fully-parallel-reverse-converter" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15941.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1583</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">81</span> Universal Kinetic Modeling of RAFT Polymerization using Moment Equations</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Salami-Kalajahi">Mehdi Salami-Kalajahi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Pejman%20Ganjeh-Anzabi"> Pejman Ganjeh-Anzabi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Vahid%20Haddadi-Asl"> Vahid Haddadi-Asl</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammad%20Najafi"> Mohammad Najafi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In the following text, we show that by introducing universal kinetic scheme, the origin of rate retardation and inhibition period which observed in dithiobenzoate-mediated RAFT polymerization can be described properly. In this paper, channel length Modulation (CLM) effect on the electrical characteristics of GNR FETs is analytically studied and modeled. To this end, the special distribution of the electric potential along the channel and current-voltage characteristic of the device is modeled. The obtained results of analytical model are compared to the experimental data of published works. As a result, it is observable that considering the effect of CLM, the current-voltage response of GNR FET is more realistic. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Graphene%20nanoribbon" title="Graphene nanoribbon">Graphene nanoribbon</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=field%20effect%20transistors" title=" field effect transistors"> field effect transistors</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=short%20channel%20effects" title=" short channel effects"> short channel effects</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=channel%20length%20modulation." title=" channel length modulation.
