These include policies for resource allocation, recovery and transfer, and for resource registration within whois, reverse DNS, RPKI and related services.</p> <p>The Open Policy Meeting (OPM) had presentations about the following:</p> <ul> <li> <a href="https://2024.apricot.net/assets/files/APIC378/2024-02-29-addresses_1708997237.pdf">What happened with addresses in 2023</a> (Geoff Huston) </li> <li> <a href="https://2024.apricot.net/assets/files/APIC378/2024-02-29-address-s_1708997412.pdf">What’s an ‘IP address’ these days? </a> (Geoff Huston) </li> </ul> <p>The following policy proposals reached consensus at the OPM and AGM:</p> <ul> <li> <a href="https://www.apnic.net/community/policy/proposals/prop-156/">prop-156</a>: Assignment of temporary IP resources</li> <li> <a href="https://www.apnic.net/community/policy/proposals/prop-154/">prop-154</a>: Resizing of IPv4 assignments for IXPs </li> </ul> <p>The following proposals did not reach consensus and will go back to the mailing list:</p> <ul> <li> <a href="https://www.apnic.net/community/policy/proposals/prop-157/">prop-157</a>: Temporary IPv4 transfers</li> <li> <a href="https://www.apnic.net/community/policy/proposals/prop-158/">prop-158</a>: IPv6 auto-allocation for each IPv4 request</li> </ul> <h3>Routing Security SIG</h3> <p>The Routing Security SIG provides a platform to discuss operational issues and best practices to secure global Internet routing.
