However, The Son of Man shall come, and will he then find faith on the earth?”<p> <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And he told this parable against those men who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and they held contempt for everyone: <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>“Two men went up to The Temple to pray: one a Pharisee and the other a Tax Collector.” <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>The Pharisee was standing alone by himself and he was praying these things: “God, I thank you that I am not like other men: extortioners, oppressors, adulterers, and not like this Tax Collector.” <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>“But I fast twice in a week and I tithe everything that I possess.” <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>“But that Tax Collector was standing from a distance and he would not even lift his eyes up to Heaven, but he was smiting on his chest and he said, 'God, have pity on me, a sinner.' “ <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>“I say to you that this one went down to his house justified rather than that Pharisee, for every man who exalts himself shall be humbled, and everyone who humbles himself shall be exalted.”<p> <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>But they brought him also infants that he might touch them, and his disciples saw them, and they rebuked them. <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>But Yeshua himself called them and he said to them, “Let the children come to me and do not refuse them, because the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these.” <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>“Amen, I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little boy shall not enter it.”<p> <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And one who was a nobleman asked him and said to him, “Good teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>Yeshua said to him, “Why do you call me good? There is no one good except the one God.” <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>“You know the commandments: 'You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not testify a false testimony. Honor your father and your mother.' “ <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>He said to him, “I have kept all these things from my childhood.” <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-22.htm#aramaic"><b>22</b></a></span>But when Yeshua heard these things, he said to him, “You lack one thing: Go sell everything that you have and give to the poor, and you shall have a treasure in Heaven, and come after me.” <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-23.htm#aramaic"><b>23</b></a></span>But when he heard these things, it grieved him, for he was very rich. <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-24.htm#aramaic"><b>24</b></a></span>And when Yeshua saw that it grieved him, he said, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the Kingdom of God.” <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-25.htm#aramaic"><b>25</b></a></span>“It is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.” <A name="27"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-26.htm#aramaic"><b>26</b></a></span>Those who heard were saying to him, “And who can have life?” <A name="28"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-27.htm#aramaic"><b>27</b></a></span>But Yeshua said, “Those things which are impossible with men can happen with God.”<p> <A name="29"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-28.htm#aramaic"><b>28</b></a></span>Shimeon Kaypha said to him, “Behold, we have left everything and we have come after you.” <A name="30"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-29.htm#aramaic"><b>29</b></a></span>Yeshua said to him, “Truly, I say to you, there is no man who has left house or parents or brother or wife or children for the sake of the Kingdom of God,” <A name="31"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-30.htm#aramaic"><b>30</b></a></span>“Who shall not receive in great multiples in this time, and in the coming world, eternal life.”<p> <A name="32"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-31.htm#aramaic"><b>31</b></a></span>And Yeshua led his twelve and he said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem and all that is written in The Prophets about The Son of Man shall be fulfilled.” <A name="33"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-32.htm#aramaic"><b>32</b></a></span>“For he shall be delivered to Gentiles, and they shall mock him and they shall spit in his face.” <A name="34"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-33.htm#aramaic"><b>33</b></a></span>“They shall scourge him, they shall abuse him and they shall kill him, and on the third day he shall rise.” <A name="35"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-34.htm#aramaic"><b>34</b></a></span>But they understood none of these things and this saying was hidden from them and they did not know these things that were spoken with them.<p> <A name="36"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-35.htm#aramaic"><b>35</b></a></span>And when they came near to Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting on the side of the road and begging. <A name="37"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-36.htm#aramaic"><b>36</b></a></span>And he heard the sound of the crowd that passed by and he was asking, “Who is this?” <A name="38"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-37.htm#aramaic"><b>37</b></a></span>They were saying to him, “Yeshua the Nazarene passes by.” <A name="39"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-38.htm#aramaic"><b>38</b></a></span>And he cried out and he said, “Yeshua, Son of David, have mercy on me!” <A name="40"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-39.htm#aramaic"><b>39</b></a></span>And those who were going in front of Yeshua were rebuking him that he should be quiet, but he was crying out even more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” <A name="41"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-40.htm#aramaic"><b>40</b></a></span>And Yeshua stood still, and he commanded to bring him to him, and when he came near to him, he asked him, <A name="42"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-41.htm#aramaic"><b>41</b></a></span>And he said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” But he said, “My Lord, that I may see.” <A name="43"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/luke/18-42.htm#aramaic"><b>42</b></a></span>And Yeshua said to him, “See;
