Upon his return Big Ben transfers to UCLA where he suffers through a horrible career with a number of injuries, mishaps and a constant battle for the starting role as quaterback. Now, Big Ben re-injures his knee while parcticing on Sunday. So why not hang it up this year and try to start fresh next season when he's feeling 100%? Even if he led the Bruins to a victory in Las Vegas (another unlikely occurrence), then what? He can brag about lifting UCLA to a 7-6 season? I am going to the game to give them my unconditional support. It is what it is. History won't care which players played and who didn't. The bottom line is if BYU will ever move up in the world they need a better won/loss vs the narcisistic PAC 10--and BYU does not have a worse record against anybody than the Bruins and this will be a nice opportunity to avenge an earlier loss that some thought (not me) the game was corrupted by the refs. UCLA is still UCLA--the great majority of the athletes were recruited over BYU, they cannot be overlooked. Remember Navy, Indiana and Texas A&M; of years past in the bowls. I am looking forward to the game and I'll be there with the other true BYU faithful. The whiners and complainers can go take another nap waiting for the bandwagon. Oh, and Ben who? The Y has been better off without him. Though we hope his switch during a mission does not start a precedence with others who may recruit themselves during that time. This is old news, and nobody really cares. The kid has played and when healthy, is a decent QB in the PAC-10, a power conference.
