Support our social activism petitions.</em></p><p>Is there a TV show that you've noticed perpetuates discrimination? Do you want to urge the media to be more inclusive of people with disability? What do you wish you could change about media, culture, or society? It's time to stand together in social activism and speak out about the issues in our media and culture that affect us all.</p><p>We can improve the ways in which we live and work together by standing together on issues that affects us, our communities or, perhaps, the world. The way that media reports the news and the topics that they cover color the lens through which we see the world, for better or worse. We deserve to have a say in the way we learn about the world. And we have a responsibility to hold media organizations accountable. The number of cultural institutions and museums that are available to us affects the quality of life in our communities. We can protect the ones that we enjoy today and encourage policy makers to set aside more funding for the arts. Similarly, the television shows we watch, as well as the people on those shows and the characters they portray, help shape the way we perceive each other and the world around us. Believe it or not, we can have an affect on the entertainment that reaches our screens each week. It's up to us to hold our media and culture to the highest possible standards. Speaking up and getting involved in social activism makes a difference. </p><p>When you support your favorite media outlets and cultural institutions, you help to ensure that we all enjoy access to culture and the arts. But sometimes, simply watching your favorite show or visiting your favorite museum isn't enough. Sometimes, we need to bring our voices together to save the people, places, programs that enrich our lives. When you create or sign a social activism petition, we tell companies and organizations around the world that the arts are important. </p><p>When you create or sign a petition advocating for the social activism issues that matter to you, you become part of the Care2 community -- a community that has made world-changing impact through starting campaigns and supporting each other's work. We are a community united for good. With your support, we'll come together in social activism and create real change. </p><p>The petitions below cover a range of social activism topics, from advocating against media bias to protesting media takeovers that might limit our access to information; from promoting the arts and arts education to encouraging a network to bring back your favorite TV show.
