another story in the news about excessive gun violence, accidents with guns involving children who found loaded guns in the house or unnecessary gun violence by police forces. Due to the US allowing and making it so easy for citizens to have guns and for their security forces to shoot without strict rules or consequences, lots of innocent people are killed without having any way to defend themselves. <br /> <br /> ICCPR<br /> US is in violation of their <a href='/topics/human-rights' style='color:#3174a3'>human rights</a> obligations under article 6 of the ICCPR right to life because it’s not protecting the lives of its citizens, it is allowing excessive gun violence (by <a href='/topics/police' style='color:#3174a3'>police</a> forces) and it has insufficient violations of guns by people who are not even supposed to possess guns. The US is especially in violation because it fails to control its police department on the use of gun violence.<br /> <br /> The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) is an international treaty, which entered into force 23 March 1976.
