He has risen<MG1453>; He is not here<MG5602>; see<MG2396>, <i>here is</i> the place<MG5117> where<MG3699> they laid<MG5087> Him. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>But go<MG5217>, tell<MG3004> His disciples<MG3101> and Peter<MG4074>, ‘He is going<MG4254> ahead<MG4254> of you to Galilee<MG1056>; there<MG1563> you will see<MG3708> Him, just<MG2531a> as<MG2531a> He told<MG3004> you.’” <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And they went<MG1831> out<MG1831> and fled<MG5343> from the tomb<MG3419>, for trembling<MG5156> and astonishment<MG1611> had gripped<MG2192> them; and they said<MG3004> nothing<MG3762> to anyone<MG3762>, for they were<MG5399> afraid<MG5399>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>[[<span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>Now<MG1161> after He had risen<MG450> early<MG4404> on the first<MG4413> day of the week<MG4521>, He first<MG4413> appeared<MG5316> to Mary<MG3137> Magdalene<MG3094>, from whom<MG3739> He had cast<MG1544b> out<MG1544b> seven<MG2033> demons<MG1140>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>She went<MG4198> and reported<MG518> to those<MG3588> who had been<MG1096> with Him, while they were mourning<MG3996> and weeping<MG2799>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And when they heard<MG191> that He was<MG2198> alive<MG2198> and had been seen<MG2300> by her, they refused<MG569> to<MG569> believe<MG569> <i>it.</i> <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> after<MG3326> that, He appeared<MG5319> in a different<MG2087> form<MG3444> to two<MG1417> of them while they were walking<MG4043> along on<MG4198> their way<MG4198> to the country<MG68>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>And they went<MG565> away<MG565> and reported<MG518> it to the rest<MG3062>, but they did not believe<MG4100> them, either<MG3761>. <p class="hdg">The Disciples Commissioned</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>Later<MG5305> He appeared<MG5319> to the eleven<MG1733> <i>disciples</i> themselves<MG846> as they were reclining<MG345> <i>at the table;</i> and He reprimanded<MG3679> them for their unbelief<MG570> and hardness<MG4641> of<MG4641> heart<MG4641>, because<MG3754> they had not believed<MG4100> those<MG3588> who had seen<MG2300> Him after He had risen<MG1453> <i>from the dead.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And He said<MG3004> to them, “Go<MG4198> into all<MG537a> the world<MG2889> and preach<MG2784> the gospel<MG2098> to all<MG3956> creation<MG2937>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>The one who has believed<MG4100> and has been baptized<MG907> will be saved<MG4982>; but the one who has not<MG569> believed<MG569> will be condemned<MG2632>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>These<MG3778> signs<MG4592> will accompany<MG3877> those<MG3588> who have believed<MG4100>: in My name<MG3686> they will cast<MG1544b> out<MG1544b> demons<MG1140>, they will speak<MG2980> with new<MG2537> tongues<MG1100>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>they will pick<MG142> up<MG142> serpents<MG3789>, and if<MG2579> they drink<MG4095> any<MG5100> deadly<MG2286> <i>poison,</i> it will not harm<MG984> them; they will lay<MG2007> hands<MG5495> on the sick<MG732>, and they will recover<MG2192, 2573>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>So<MG3767> then<MG3767>, when the Lord<MG2962> Jesus<MG2424> had spoken<MG2980> to them, He was received<MG353> up<MG353> into heaven<MG3772> and sat<MG2523> down<MG2523> at the right<MG1188> hand<MG1188> of God<MG2316>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>And they went<MG1831> out<MG1831> and preached<MG2784> everywhere<MG3837>, while the Lord<MG2962> worked<MG4903> with<MG4903> <i>them,</i> and confirmed<MG950> the word<MG3056> by the signs<MG4592> that followed<MG1872>.]] <p class="paragraph"> [[<span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span><i>And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions.
