Each submitted article is single-blind reviewed by at least two reviewers to guarantee the quality of its content, structure, and language. Final decision on paper publication is the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief.</p> <p>Special Issues of the journal <span class="TextRun SCXW51415718 BCX9" lang="EN-US" xml:lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW51415718 BCX9">adhere to </span></span>the same peer review rules (single-blind review by at least two reviewers), being the final decision on paper publication responsibility of the Guest Editor for the special issue.</p> <p>Each submitted paper has a first validation from the Journal Editor-in-Chief, who decides if it meets the minimum journal quality requirements and the journal scope. Not declined submissions are reviewed by (at least) two specialists in the engineering area, supporting the decision of accepting or requesting revisions (or even declining). This revision process can be conducted for several rounds until the Editor-in-Chief (supported by reviewers and associate editors) is satisfied with the document.
