We closely followed the negotiations on key agenda items, such as finance, adaptation, loss and damage, technology, just transition, gender, or ACE, as well as work related to cross-cutting thematic areas including food systems, human mobility, entrepreneurship, health, and youth empowerment.</span></p><p style="line-height: 125%;"><br></p><p style="line-height: 125%;"><span style="color:#03989e;">Our team members directly joined the sessions as well as side events, dialogues, and other activities, such as the three-day Action for Climate Empowerment Hub or meeting with partner countries and project partners. How can we work towards breaking down the often-impenetrable language of high-stakes dialogues into common language that inspires local action – particularly as it relates to Youth actors?</span></p><p style="line-height: 125%;"><br></p><p style="line-height: 125%;"><span style="color:#03989e;">For our 3rd Climate 2.0 session, the SLYCAN Trust Youth team from both the Bonn and Colombo offices hosted an event at Gustav-Stresemann-Institut. The session included participants who had regularly attended the UNFCCC SB60 meetings that week. The event looked into their experiences with the UNFCCC process, their community work, and their roles in organisations striving for international climate goals. </span></p><p style="line-height: 125%;"><br></p><p style="line-height: 125%;" class="last-child"><span style="color:#03989e;">Our colleague Shifaz Ameer also joined the ACE Hub event, which focused on effective climate communication with the ultimate goal of simplifying communication on climate change and related topics in a relatable way that leads to real impact. The ACE Hub youth event was organized by the UNFCCC ACE team with support from the Rhine-Westphalia’s Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Change, where Shifaz represented SLYCAN Trust Youth.
