The name Jetur is associated with the Itureans, a nomadic tribe that settled in the region of Iturea, located in the northern part of modern-day Israel and southern Lebanon. This area is mentioned in the New Testament (<a href="/luke/3.htm">Luke 3:1</a>) as part of the tetrarchy of Philip.
