The background to this is the widespread use of air conditioning due to changes in industrial structure and lifestyles accompanying economic development. As is clear from the history of ASHRAE Technology Awards, Japan's air conditioning technology has high technical capabilities based on meticulous verification in Asia and the world, and has the potential to contribute to carbon neutrality in Asia, which has a similar climate. In fact, many air conditioning-related companies based in Japan are participating in large-scale, advanced projects overseas and expanding their business.</p> <p>ASHRAE is not only a place for technical discussion, but also a place to expand personal exchanges and connections. Exchanges are actively conducted through ASHRAE in other Chapters in Region XIII, and it is believed that having international contact with young engineers and students who will lead the next generation will be an essential perspective for Japan's air conditioning engineering in the near future.
