Government of Canada. Those students travelling to or from Canada must check the COVID-19 guidelines for their destination.</p></b> <h2 class="article-emphasis"> Travelling to Canada </h2>  <p>The Government of Canada now requires that all incoming travellers to Canada must use the ArriveCAN mobile app to provide mandatory travel and public health information before and after your entry into the country. ArriveCAN is available for iOS, Android and the web, and can communicate in English, French and Spanish. For more information on ArriveCAN, visit <a class="pop_up_warning" href="https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html" target="_blank">https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html<span class="pop_up_warning_text">Opens a new window</span></a>.</p> <p> You need to submit your information to ArriveCAN within <b>72 hours before</b> arriving in Canada. The information you need to provide includes: </p> <ul> <li>Contact information</li> <li>Travel details and documents</li> <li>Vaccination information* and travel history</li> <li>Quarantine plan</li> </ul> <p>*If you don’t have Canadian proof of vaccination, you may use an official document that shows your first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Please note that the Government of Canada’s requirements are non-emergency tests, and as a result, are not eligible under <span class="guard">guard</span><span class="me">.me</span> policies. In addition, any request for subsequent non-emergency tests while in a government-prescribed quarantine period are not eligible expenses; any non-emergency tests required by a third party are not eligible expenses.</p> <p>Should a period of quarantine be mandated by the Government of Canada, all travellers, including students, will need to comply with the Government of Canada guidelines, and should review with their institution any arrangements for quarantine. All travellers, including students, are required by law to follow the prescribed quarantine instructions. The Government of Canada may impose penalties upon those individuals who do not comply with the current requirement to quarantine.</p> <h2 class="article-emphasis"> Important Information for guard.me Insured Students in Canada </h2> <p>If your <span class="guard">guard</span><span class="me">.me</span> policy is valid, you are covered for all medically necessary treatment for new and emergent conditions, including COVID-19. You can check the dates of your coverage on your <span class="guard">guard</span><span class="me">.me</span> Healthcare Access Card.</p> <p>However, coverage for COVID-19 does not include costs associated with self-isolation or mandated quarantine. Private accommodation and day-to-day expenses (food and non-emergency transportation) are not eligible for reimbursement. If you are eligible for a vaccine and have not been fully vaccinated, Health Canada suggests you delay departure until you have received a full course of a vaccine.
