characteristics in a sample of late-childhood participants. Defined as physical elements that enable the movements, motor skills are classified according to movement precision as gross and fine motor skills. Across their development, children enhance their ability to coordinate the limbs to produce different actions. In educational settings, they perform various instructional activities that involve the improvement of their athletic prowess and are taught how to strengthen their gross and fine motor abilities. Also, in relation to their activities, children tend to evaluate themselves differently across the various domains of their life. Starting from childhood, athletic competence is one of the area-specific evaluations of competence that refers to one鈥檚 ability to do well at sports, including outdoor games. Method: The sample consisted of fifty-eight primary school children, thirty girls, and twenty-eight boys, with ages between 8-10 years. The Bruininks-Oseretsky test of motor proficiency was used to assess both gross and fine motor skills in eight specific areas (fine motor precision, fine motor integration, manual dexterity, bilateral coordination, balance, running speed and agility, upper-limb coordination, strength). Athletic competence self-perceived was assessed with one of the six subscales of the Self-Perception Profile for Children. Results: Were examined both the relationships between each motor skills scale and subscales and between motor skills and general self-perceived athletic competence. Results indicated correlations between the athletic competence and four motor skills subscales depending on the gender and age of the children. The findings of the study were discussed related to the possibility to improve children's physical proficiency in educational settings according to the level of self-perceived athletic competence. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=gross%20motor%20skills" title="gross motor skills">gross motor skills</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fine%20motor%20skills" title=" fine motor skills"> fine motor skills</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=athletic%20competence" title=" athletic competence"> athletic competence</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=self-evaluation" title=" self-evaluation"> self-evaluation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=children" title=" children"> children</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=education" title=" education"> education</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/146352/relationships-between-motor-skills-and-self-perceived-athletic-competence-in-a-sample-of-primary-school-children" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/146352.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">87</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">3</span> Proposed Methodology of Sentiment Analysis for Arabic Language Text in Twitter, Are We There Yet ?</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abdullah%20Almlaki">Abdullah Almlaki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Anamaria%20Berea"> Anamaria Berea</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Social media platforms, such as Twitter, reflect public opinion well on various topics. However, current methods demonstrate limited accuracy in automated processes reflecting aggregate crowd beliefs. For example, many tweets, especially in the Arabic region, include spam. We propose a revised methodology using machine learning techniques by applying two filters, removing news and spam, from Arabic tweets before the sentiment analysis process. Afterwards, during the classification process, we propose incrementing the polarity score by the retweets and favorites. We show our revision methodology improves the accuracy of automated real opinion detection. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=computing%20methodologies" title="computing methodologies">computing methodologies</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=artificial%20intelligence" title=" artificial intelligence"> artificial intelligence</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=natural%20language%20processing" title=" natural language processing"> natural language processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=social%20media%20analysis" title=" social media analysis"> social media analysis</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/197688/proposed-methodology-of-sentiment-analysis-for-arabic-language-text-in-twitter-are-we-there-yet" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/197688.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">11</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">2</span> Re-shaping Ancient Historical Courtyards in a Sustainable Design</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andreea%20Anamaria%20Anghel">Andreea Anamaria Anghel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Flaviu%20Mihai%20Frigura-Lliasa"> Flaviu Mihai Frigura-Lliasa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Attila%20Simo"> Attila Simo</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In recent years, there has been a renewed interest in revitalizing the historical area of Timisoara, a city located in western Romania, with a focus on preserving its architectural heritage while also promoting sustainable urban development. This has led to several initiatives aimed at improving public spaces, promoting sustainable transport, and encouraging the use of green infrastructure, such as green interior courtyards, to enhance the livability and sustainability of the area. A preliminary study regarding history, characteristics and current condition was carried out by the authors regarding these interior courtyards in the historical areas of Timisoara, the European Capital of Culture, in 2023, highlighting their potential to contribute to the sustainable development of the city. Modern interventions in interior historical courtyards should aim to preserve the historic character of these spaces while also promoting their sustainable and functional use in the 21st century. By doing so, these courtyards can continue to serve as vital urban oases and cultural landmarks for generations to come. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=architectural%20heritage" title="architectural heritage">architectural heritage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=green%20interior%20courtyards" title=" green interior courtyards"> green interior courtyards</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=public%20spaces" title=" public spaces"> public spaces</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sustainable%20development" title=" sustainable development"> sustainable development</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/166970/re-shaping-ancient-historical-courtyards-in-a-sustainable-design" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/166970.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">91</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1</span> Modular, Responsive, and Interactive Green Walls - A Case Study</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Flaviu%20Mihai%20Frigura-Lliasa">Flaviu Mihai Frigura-Lliasa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andreea%20Anamaria%20Anghel"> Andreea Anamaria Anghel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Attila%20Simo"> Attila Simo</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Due to the beauty, usefulness, science, constantly changing, constantly evolving features, and most of the time, mystery it involves, nature-based art is seen as a both modern and timeless direction that has been extensively used in design. The goal of the team's activities was to experiment with ways of fusing the two most common contemporary ways of referring to green installations, that is, either in a pure artistic or in an ecological manner, and creating a living, dynamic, interactive installation capable of both receiving and interpreting external factors, such as natural and human stimuli, that would not only determine some of the mechanism's presets. By consequent, a complex experiment made up of various research and project stages was elaborated in order to transform an idea into an actual interactive green installation within months thanks to the interaction, teamwork, and design processes undertaken throughout the academic years by both university lecturers and some of our students. The outcomes would lead to the development of a dynamic artwork called "Modgrew" as well as the introduction of experiment-based learning at the Timisoara Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, as well as at the Faculty of Electrical and Power Engineering, for the green wall automation issues. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
