I mean, I've only got 5 gigs on my phone, so I was constantly deleting images, until, i found google photos. I got to keep hundreds of photos for hardly any storage. I was starting to run out of space again so I went on to the google photo app so all of my photos could be backed up and I could delete them off my photo app. I pressed the app, but instead of being welcomed with all my images and the home screen I had been seeing for months, it had my name and a huge button on the bottom that said "get started". I didn't know what to think of it, so i pressed it. I went through all of the steps and junk, and when I finally finished it and looked at all my photos, they were all gone. Pictures of my baby cousin who is all grown up now, pictures of the ocean at sunset that I actually took, pictures of my friends, my family, YEARS AND YEARS OF PHOTOS, GONE. It was horrible. I couldn't reverse what I did, so now I just have to live without them. It's going to be hard, but at least I've got something to blame, google photos. <br/> So, now you know my little story, and I warn you, DO NOT GET THIS APP. I repeat, DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While this was a great option and it allowed me to back up my photos locally there was quite a few glitches that would hinder all our photos and videos from uploading which defeats the purpose of trying to back them up. Needing a solution that was free and able to store large amounts of photos and videos I stumbled across Google Photos. I was so pleased at the free service they offered and am more and more amazed every day when I see all the best things the app can do! I have also used the desktop uploader and it worked great for backing up about 100gb of photos on me pc. I do hope that they make a way to be able to sync the Google Photos with a local folder on a pc or NAS so anyone can also keep a physical backup of their photos at home. It has ALL of my pictures saved, from BOTH phones ALL the way back to 2015!!!! <br/>I just discovered this. Then it asked me if I wanted to rate the app. I said to myself, uhh F YES I wanna rate the app! So here I am...rating the app. I rate it a million stars. <br/>Now I don't have to worry about picking and choosing what pictures to keep, they're all RIGHT there within my app! I also saw that Google photos has this sweet little button you can press to delete any pictures that have already been downloaded to the app. I basically have to do nothing!
