The authors analyze the relationship between the imaginative thinking of an ethnic group, literary tradition and mentally significant abstract concepts, identify key symbols and their meanings, determining their place in the semiotic system of the linguistic worldview of the Chechen nation. The metaphor is viewed from three angles: from the point of view of stylistics – as a figurative means of language, from the position of cognitive linguistics – as a way of thinking, in the representation of literary criticism – as an element of the artistic system of a literary work. The authors also correlate between axeological concepts and the concrete world of "things" - natural facts and cultural artifacts.
