D'Auban and John Warde were billed as the theatre's "principal grotesque dancers and pantomimists".<sup id="cite_ref-10" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-10"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>10<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> D'Auban then acted as ballet-master at the Gaiety, choreographing its famous burlesques, until 1891.<sup id="cite_ref-Timesobit_9-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-Timesobit-9"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>9<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> In 1870 and in 1875 at the Gaiety, D'Auban choreographed <a href="/wiki/Charles_Dibdin" title="Charles Dibdin">Charles Dibdin</a>'s musical farce, <i>The Waterman</i>. Also in 1900, he was at the <a href="/wiki/Haymarket_Theatre" class="mw-redirect" title="Haymarket Theatre">Haymarket Theatre</a> with <i>Sweet Nell of Old Drury</i> and <i><a href="/wiki/The_School_for_Scandal" title="The School for Scandal">The School for Scandal</a></i>. S.
