31일 이동통신 기술개발사업관리단(단장 서정욱 한국이동통신 사장)이 주관하는 상용시험 전항목을 통과、 CDMA시스템의 본격적인 양산체제에 들어갈 계획이라 고 밝혔다.<br /> <br /> 상용시험은 이동전화사업자에게 장비를 공급하기 전에 장비의 성능을 최종확인하는 절차로 LG정보통신은 지난 1월 기본 기능분야의 1백8개 핵심항목을 통과한데 이어 지난 31일 7백5개 세부항목에 대한 성능시험을 모두 마쳐 총8 백13개 시험 항목의 현장 테스트를 통과했다.<br /> <br /> 이에 따라 현재 기술 제공업체인 미국 퀄컴사가 현재 늦어지고 있는 단말기 용 핵심부품의 공급만 정상적으로 이루어진다면 국산 장비를 이용해 내년 1월1일부터 서비스 개시가 가능해 질 것으로 예상된다.<br /> <br /> 1개 교환국(장안동)과 4개 기지국(여의도 한남 논현 대치)을 설치、 지난 1월14일부터 상용시험을 시작한 LG정보통신은 가장 핵심적인 통화완료율이 합격기준인 95%보다 높은 평균 98%을 기록했으며, 기지국당 최대 처리용량에 서도 60통화를 넘는 68통화를 했고 섹터당 처리용량이 기준치인 20통화의 1.<br /> <br /> 5배인35통화를 기록했다고 밝혔다.<br /> <br /> <span id='newsroom_etview_promotion'></span> 또한 교환기 최대 처리능력은 80만 최번시의 시간당 호처리능력(BHCA)、 가입자 데이터처리장치(HLR)의 최대처리능력은 1백만 가입자 이상을 기록했고 섹터간、 기지국간、 교환국간 통화가 단절되지 않고 최적의 통화품질을 유지하는 소프트 핸드오프및
