Des voyages spatiaux aux accès ouvert à la colonisation de Mars, ce renouveau d’intérêt pour l’espace cristallise les nouvelles tensions sino-américaines sur la scène internationale. À l’heure où la compétition spatiale s’accélère entre les grandes puissances, le <em>New Space</em> est devenu un élément dimensionnant des politiques spatiales des états. Objets intrinsèquement fragiles de par le matériau utilisé, les artefacts issus des arts du feu offrent une vision paradoxale quant à leur protection au titre des Monuments historiques :  les émaux médiévaux de Limoges ou les statues de terre cuite de l’époque moderne sont bien représentés, alors que d’autres objets comme ceux en céramique ou en verre demeurent souvent les parents pauvres de ces pratiques. Enhardi par sa chevauchée victorieuse en Béarn, le roi conquiert plusieurs places, soit pacifiquement, soit en les assiégeant telles Saint-Jean-d’Angély ou Clairac. Commencé le 17 août 1621, le siège de Montauban permettrait de prendre le contrôle de la Moyenne Garonne, mais le roi échoue en novembre. Afin de mieux connaître les opérations militaires et les sièges des villes protestantes, notre colloque permettra aux spécialistes de l’histoire militaire du Grand Siècle, de faire part de leurs recherches menées sur les nouvelles fortifications et leurs ingénieurs, sur l’organisation militaire des protestants ou sur les opérations de sièges engagées. Hommes, femmes et enfants, ils furent victimes des mesures discriminatoires et de la politique raciale de la collaboration. Nombreux sont internés dans des camps français et certains depuis les zones annexées déportés dans des camps de concentration nazis. Histoire complexe dont il faut poursuivre la transmission à travers de nombreuses actions scientifiques, artistiques et éducatives. En France, comme dans de nombreux autres pays, l’engouement pour le patrimoine industriel a accouché d’un foisonnement d’études monographiques de qualité mais dans lesquelles le paysage était parfois convoqué comme porte d’entrée dans l’analyse d’un site, parfois présenté comme un fait acquis, quand il n’était tout simplement pas ignoré. En proposant de considérer le paysage de l’industrie comme un objet d’étude et non comme un fait acquis, ce colloque entend aussi dépasser l’approche thématique qui a elle aussi produit des résultats
