芝麻还可以入药，《汝南中草药》载：黑芝麻可治贫血、神经衰弱、大便不畅等症。胡麻梗可治中风、半身不遂、咳嗽气喘、脱发症等。芝麻叶熟煮晾干，是别有风味的冬储干菜。芝麻粒可以加工成多种味美可口的食品。芝麻油还可以替橄榄油，作为油漆、香皂、香精、复写纸、人造橡胶和润滑油的上等原料。芝麻饼含蛋白质 38$Cts％$左右，既是上等饲料，又是优质肥料。</P><P>    驻马店市的芝麻品质优良，含油量在52-57$Cts％$之间，在全国居于高位；其出油率之高，达50$Cts％$以上，引起国内有关部门及国际客商注目。1979年和1980年，日本芝麻技术交流小组曾两次来这里考察，交流技术。芝麻出口也成为驻马店市的主营商品。 <BR> <BR><STRONG>泌阳驴: <BR></STRONG>   <BR>    泌阳驴是我国优良的中型驴种之一。它的役用性能强，且持久，公驴一般挽力在二百公斤以上，母驴为一百八十公斤左右。泌阳驴的抗病力和适应性强；遗传性能稳定，耐粗饲，便于喂养。</P><P>    泌阳驴的食量小，抗灾力强，且适用于各种农活，群众最喜欢饲养。当前，产区内泌阳驴的饲养量很大，仅泌阳一县就达一万一千多头。建国后的五十多年来，由于其名扬中外，不仅全国各地进行引种，改良小毛驴与配殖马骡，而且还远销到朝鲜、越南等国。 <BR> <BR></P><P align=center><STRONG></STRONG></P><P align=center><STRONG><IMG alt="" src="https://p1.cncnimg.cn/q/z/info_4860_1.jpg" border=0></STRONG></P><P><STRONG>正阳三黄鸡:</STRONG> <BR>   <BR>    驻马店市正阳、汝南、确山三县交界一带，方圆百余里二十九个乡的文殊河流域，主产一种体态匀称，活泼敏捷的“三黄鸡”。因其具有体型小，成熟早，抗病力强，适应性广，产蛋多且大，肉质细嫩鲜美的优良特性，而成为河南省蛋肉兼用型优良鸡种亦为我国蛋禽资源中名贵的鸡种之一。</P><P>    这种鸡是以嘴、腿、毛三部俱黄、且在正阳县分布广、数量多、品种优而得名“正阳三黄鸡”。正阳三黄鸡产蛋能力强，且蛋大质优。肉质细嫩香纯，是正阳三黄鸡的又一优良特性。正阳三黄鸡还具有补气、养血、利尿之功能，当地群众素称“药鸡”。用正阳三黄鸡炖天麻医治头晕病，有显著疗效。 <BR> <BR><STRONG>确山黑猪:</STRONG> <BR>   <BR>    确山黑猪，全身披毛长而稀疏，棕毛粗长，体型大。一般体长136厘米，体高70厘米左右。面部布有菱形皱纹，两耳下垂，背腰平直。内质细嫩，色暗红，呈大理石样花纹，烹调后味浓笪，多食不腻。</P><P>    确山黑猪的中心产区，在确山两部的竹沟、瓦岗、石磙河三个乡。与之相毗邻的任店、蚁蜂、胡庙、城郊、朱古洞、李新店和沁阳的大路庄老河等乡也有分布。据九个乡的调查，现有确山黑猪一万八千九百余头。 </P><P align=center><STRONG></STRONG></P><P><STRONG>汝南瘦肉型猪:</STRONG> <BR>   <BR>    汝南瘦肉型猪是解放后培殖的新品种，这种猪具有生长迅速、体型美观、抗病能力强、耐粗饲等优点，在汝南为中心的豫南广大农村普遍喂养，深受欢迎。它的显著特点是：胴体瘦肉率高达60$Cts％$以上，瘦肉肥嫩，味美色鲜，在国际市场上颇负盛名。在重量相同的情况下，每头约比其他类型的生猪多换30——40 美元的外汇。汝南平均每年出口近十万头。1983年5月，经国家外贸部门评比鉴定，生猪质量居全国第一。</P><P>    早在五十年代初期，汝南人民在国家的扶植下，就开始把引起的外种猪做父本，与本地母猪杂交，初步显出优势，从而坚定了人们对生猪改良和选育的信心。六十年代，汝南被国家定为“生猪外贸基地县”为了满足国际市场的需要，在原有改良的基础上，又引进了长白、英大白等猪种，进一步进行杂交、选育、改良，加大了猪的体尺，提高了瘦肉率。<BR> <BR><STRONG>新蔡山羊:</STRONG> <BR>   <BR>    新蔡县是我国重要的山羊生产基地县之一。新蔡山羊，一以饲养量大，产品数量多，板皮质量好，肉质细嫩鲜美而闻名。山羊板皮，经济价值较高，是我国一项大宗的传统出口商品，出口量居世界第一位。新蔡的山羊板皮和平舆的庙皮，同属“汉口路”山羊板皮，适宜制作高档皮革，在国外享有很高声誉，曾一度成为国际市场上的热门货。</P><P>    新蔡山羊，体型较小，肉质细嫩，膻体小，不肥腻，易消化，蛋白质含量丰富，营养价值较高，是人们喜爱的一种好肉质。<BR><STRONG> <BR></STRONG></P><P align=center><STRONG></STRONG></P><P><STRONG><IMG style="WIDTH: 213px; POSITION: static; HEIGHT: 196px" 蝎子入药称“全蝎”。全蝎含毒性蛋白、蝎酸、卵磷脂、牛黄酸、胆固醇等成份。其性平，味辛，具有熄风、镇痉、通络止痛、散淤拔毒之功用，是医治惊风抽搐、中风疼痛、风湿痛之良药。 <BR> <BR><STRONG>平舆庙皮:</STRONG> <BR>       庙皮是产于河南省平舆县庙弯镇一带的山羊皮。它以皮重柔软。毛细密、弹性好、拉力强、油质适当等特色赢得皮革行业的赞誉，是中国山羊皮张的名产，畅销国内外。<BR>      庙皮之所以能以品质优良获此赞誉，原因有三，一是牧草优良，二是山羊品种优良，三是宰剥工艺精湛。<BR>      目前，庙皮列为地方特产出口皮张销往世界各国。</P></div><div class="prenext"> <ul>
