</p><h3><strong>In Person</strong></h3><p>This is an intermediate-level workshop focusing on how to manage and process geospatial data for further analysis. The workshop will cover the techniques on how to manipulate geospatial data using QGIS and how to visualise the results of geoprocessing.</p><p>The workshop will start with an introduction to the concept of geo-processing, including its common types and when it is applied within the QGIS platform. This will be followed by practical exercises using real-world data, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience. By the end of the session, students will have learned how to manipulate geospatial data to align with their research objectives and perform various descriptive and statistical analyses.</p><p>The workshop will provide a foundational understanding of how geoprocessing can be used to prepare data for further analysis, along with an introduction to key tools for performing geoprocessing tasks. Additionally, participants will gain hands-on experience with QGIS, enhancing their understanding of the software's functionality. By building familiarity with both the core principles and the software itself, the session will equip attendees with the confidence to apply these techniques to their own research and explore new applications in the future.</p><p>You will need to already have a general understanding of Geographical Information Systems including key difference between vectors and rasters, coordinate reference system and basic symbology.</p><p>Those who have registered to take part will receive an email with full details on how to get ready for the course.</p><p lang="EN-US"> </p><p lang="EN-US">This workshop will be taught by Ki Tong.</p><p>After taking part in this event, you may decide that you need some further help in applying what you have learnt to your research.
