various types of scholarships to students in all academic programs. Scholarships are offered by various departments and organizations to student who meet specific eligibility criteria. Regardless of accomplishments or GPA, we encourage all students to apply for scholarships.</p> <p>The following types of scholarships are available at Cal Poly Pomona:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Scholarships Offered by Cal Poly Pomona</strong> – This includes scholarships from the various Cal Poly Pomona colleges, departments, clubs & organizations. The application is available online from October 1 to March 2; scholarships are awarded for the upcoming academic year.<br/><br/></li> <li><strong>CSU Systemwide Scholarships </strong>- A variety of extremely competitive scholarships exist that enhance the educational excellence of the California State University and ensure that financial need isn't a barrier to student success and achievement.<br/><br/></li> <li><strong>Outside Scholarships </strong>- There are excellent privately funded scholarships available to students. The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is responsible for coordinating student resources for the campus. Federal and state regulations require the coordination of scholarships & fellowships with all other financial aid a student may be receiving.</p> <p>When the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships becomes aware of additional aid or resources, the funding will be added to the student's financial aid record and any necessary adjustments to existing aid will be made accordingly. If a reduction in an aid program(s) is necessary, aid reductions will be done in the most advantageous way for the student.</p> <p>The total amount of assistance from all sources cannot exceed the Cal Poly Pomona yearly Cost of Attendance (COA). If you do not report your outside scholarship awards, you might receive what is called an "overaward". Outside scholarships are considered resources, meaning that they may affect your financial aid package.
